Sorry for being MIA so long. On the 15th my family (myself, my 3 children and my 2 dogs) and my friends family (her, her 2 children and her 2 dogs) went on the road to San Antonio for the kids spring break. About 2 hrs out from SA we had a bad accident. No one else was involved, thank goodness. It was raining on and off and I hit a slick of oil, lost control of the car and it spun out, hit the ditch and rolled twice before coming to a stop against a wall. We spent the day in the hospital and, thank goodness, everyone (including the dogs) walked out of the car alive. My friend broke 2 ribs and I broke my collarbone. I recently (April 1st) had surgery to correct the break and had to have a steal plate and screws put in. My husband was home from the deployment on emergency leave and left today to go back on deployment. I'm doing well, finally have movement back in my left arm, which is wonderful. I'm finally out of the sling and I begin physical therapy on Monday. My friend is healing well, with occasional pain, and the children are all doing wonderful and barely even had a scratch from the accident. I just wanted to let everyone know what was going on and why we haven't been around.

The kitties are doing great. DH got to meet Zoey and is absolutely smitten with her. Rosalie's become more of a "loner" and isn't into cuddles anymore. Zoey, on the other hand, is still ALL about the lovin.

Hope everyone is doing well and I can't wait to get all caught up and see how everyone's doing.

Oh my goodness!! You are truly blessed to have everyone, including the dogs, come out of this with their lives. Although you do sound pretty banged up.

It only takes a second to turn our lives upside down. Life is so very fragile.

I hope you continue to get better and we see you more on the site.

Drive safely!

Thanks everyone. I'm feeling better. The pain comes and goes but it's not too bad as long as I keep movement but not too much. I'm rather nervous about starting PT tomorrow just because I know they're going to push me more than I'm probably ready to do but on my own I'd say I've got back about 65-70% of movement which is pretty good for doing it on my own

The PT will not be easy. But it is very necessary. You will be back good as new before long. It is good to know everybody is going to be okay.
