It can be anything. A toy, a type of food, another cat, a person, a time of day...anything. But when and why is your cat the happiest???

For mine it's:

Danny- playing fetch! With a toy, a q-tip, a straw. Doesn't matter. That is the happiest that little man ever is.

Harvey- being held and bounced like a baby. He whines to be picked up. Not just picked up, but to be bounced. It's ridiculous,
.

Luke- bedtime! When I go into the bedroom he runs in front of me and dives on to the bed and immediately settles into his spot at the end of the bed.

For Mia it's when I let her out to the screen enclosure around the pool.

For Fay, it's eating.

For my Speedboat it was being in my lap. We lost him in January. For Muffin and Mattie, it is when I let them on the screened in porch to spend the day in the sun.

Food, food, food... and sharing the bed with Mom!

Birds outside the window, or squirrels. No matter.

Laser pointer.

Prowler purrs when he is getting Purebites freeze-dried chicken treats.

Archie- tummy rubs.

Jakie - getting to my toes!
Ouch!

Tex - being up high - loves the "crows nest" on the 6 foot tall cat tree.

Ghost - standing on my shoulders. And face marking me like crazy!

Rex - cheek skritches.

Casper - tummy rubs, too.

It depends on Holland's mood. When she's playful, it's fetch. She has a need to sit in my lap nearly every evening while I'm reading or watching TV, and "hug" my hand with all four paws while I scritch her belly.
And other than that, treats and food.

Oh this is pretty easy.

For Isabell its her "blanket", this blanket was my sleeping bag when we first got her... when I was 8. So its actually a little mermaid sleeping bag. This and windows. Put the blanket in the window and shes in heaven.

For EG, its sitting on the back of the chair that I'm currently sitting in. He loves following me around and "standing guard" on the back of my chair or couch.

For Willow, it's morning. She gets hyper and affectionate when the sun starts coming up, and she keeps it up while people are bustling around getting ready for work or school. When everybody leaves, her energy wanes and she spends the rest of the day sleeping, lol

Molly is happiest around mealtimes. She lives for food, and God help me if I try to make her wait. Molly's generally always pleased, though. Give her a look, or stroke her back, and she flexes her paws and purrs.

Buffy is happiest when there's chaos, or she's snuck outside (kind of a tie there). I only recently learned from my sister that each of the cats has their preferred way of being petted, and Buffy's is to be more harsh. Don't be gentle, scritch hard, pat her butt, shake her face, etc. I was dubious, but once I tried it, I had to laugh when she started purring. The other cats get offended if I got harder than a gentle, long, slow stroke, but Buffy prefers to live a little, lol. She always has to be in the center of attention, or at least hanging around the general population. She doesn't like to be alone, and she gets bored easily.

Quality 'crotch time' as opposed to lap time... Snuggled down in there, preferably with no one petting her.

How did I raise such a pervert cat?

For Snowball: her canned food

For Spooky: sitting beside me and being brushed

Playing fetch makes Neko happy!! She will "meow" until you throw it!! I can't even pick up her fetching toy to clean up because if she sees it in my hand, she has me for the next 10-15min!
