hi all.im tina.thought id join up here looks a cool site to ask questions,

my cat is male.just over 2years old,his name is gizzy.he's not been himself since he came in from the garden on sunday,he's off his food.picks a bit then leaves rest.he wont even eat his fav biscuits..could he have eaten something in the garden that dont agree with him?any help/advice would be great..thanks in advance.

Hi there welcome to TCS

I think the best thing to do if Gizzy isnt eating, is to get a vets appointment, cats can go downhill pretty quick when they stop eating

yeah,im taking him to pdsa in the morning.9am so early is good .

I'm so sorry to hear that your kitty is sick. Please let us know how his appointment went. They can get very ill quickly without food.

hi everyone.were back..gizzy has a very high temerature,he had 3 injections.1 to bring temperature down,1 painkiller.1 antibiotics,he's asleep now.plus im to give him antibiotic tabs starting tomorrow..phew

did they say what caused it?

no the vet said it could be an abcess forming somewhere or a viral infection .but he's eating now yayyyyyy
