His coat is all crazy right now. He sheds more than a horse,

. I just got him about a month ago, he was living under the house. We just moved here. Long story short, when I brought him into the house he already knew it... it's very obvious that he use to live here. I sat him on the floor, and we went all the way across the house and into the kitchen, sat next to the door (that goes outside) and begged to go out. No sniffing at all, didn't explore or anything. He knows this house, probably better than we do.
Who ever lived here before us just left him to die when they moved out. And no one has lived in the house for 4-5yrs until we moved in, so he was on his own with no food or fresh water for years.

There are foxes, coyotes, snakes, and so many other critters around here... I have no idea how he made it. His coat was horrible when I found him. I thought I had a new 'breed' of cat, his coat looked like sheep wool. It was that matted. After he finishes shedding and new fur grows back, I think his coat will be so amazing! Right now I have to brush him every other day, at the very least. And I get 3+ handfuls of fur every time I brush/comb him. I never realised how much longhaired cats shed, it's crazy.

I think proper nutrition and grooming will have him looking really good in a few months. Not that he isn't handsome now!

LOL! Doesn't it suck when they do that?

He looks mean in some of his pics, he couldn't be mean if he tried!
