And I cannot believe it.

When he passed away I searched petfinder.com for days on end looking for a cat to fill Leo's siblings void of him not being there. I saw a black and white who resembled Leo.... I kept on going back to that cat on my search. I went to the shelter and took him home. God knows what would have happened to Rainja if Leo did not pass away. I thank Leo for sending me to Rainja even though I was heartbroken of his passing.

I miss him like he left yesterday. Talk about him like he is laying on the couch at night while I am watching t.v. I still include him when talking to people about my 5 cats.

He would have been 4 1/2 years old. He was only a baby at 3.5 when he passed away from feline leukemia.

He was so sick so quick and I would have done anything for his life to be healthy even blood transfusions if it meant he could feel good. At least he is being the cat he once was up in heaven with everyone elses kitties!

I miss you Gumpy!
Your sisters Spookahontas and Fluf and your Brother Milo do show me how they they miss their brother.
and Rainja secretly thanks me everyday too

Rest well sweet boy.

Oh that is a very sweet, and moving tribute to Leo Gump. I guess it is true that when one door closes, another opens. I remember following the original posts back then. I know I cried with you.

I still talk about my cats like they are here too. Sometimes I just say "Farley V I sure do love you". Yet he has been gone a year and a half....

I am so happy you gave this new kitty a chance for a happy life. In honor of Leo, he will have all he needs and more.

As you know, angels don't always take a human form. Sometimes they have fur.

God Bless

Thanks Farley. I remember your posts about Farley V and how you love him so....

No cat could ever replace Leo Gump but it was almost like Leo pushed me into getting Rainja Boy. Honestly, I only got Rainja because in his "sale" picture he looked just like Leo and I was so heartbroken I wanted to fill a void for me and Leo's fur family.

So every day I am missing Leo and every day I am thankful that I saved Rainja from God knows what. Rainja grew up in a shelter. He was so afraid of the refrigerator opening and the t.v. and many other everyday things... I found it so sad that he would grab a big mouthful of food and literally take it and hide to eat it. It's a bitter/sweet. Lost the love of my life and gained a life that needed me.

Today is the official Leo Gump Day!

Thanks for the nice reference to my Farley Velcro. I know, weird name. It came from his tiny nails, how they stuck to us when he was a baby..

I hope your Rainja has calmed down. You are very right about gaining a life that needs you.

Today when I have my afternoon coffee on my old swing in the yard, I will toast our little friends, hopefully together at the Bridge.
