Oh that's adorable!!! And you know, that looks like a highly amusing feline toy, without the suffocation hazard of a plastic bag!
I wonder, does your cat play in the basket even with laundry already inside of it?

No, it hasn't been used as a laundry basket for a loooooong time. I think at some point I just had it lying on the floor, and Sasha started using it to nap in. Now it's strictly used as a communal napping/hide & seek area.

Isn't it funny how we adapt to how our kitties want things?

Awwww
Oliver is so cute and full of character...

Jake liked to sleep in my laundry basket when he was a kitten, but while it was full of dirty laundry

Aw, that's so cute!

Our BooBoo likes to go for laundry basket rides. We'll bring up the clean laundry from the basement and Boo will wait for us on the steps. We open the door, put the basket down, and he'll jump in and nestle in the laundry. Then we swing the basket around as we're walking up the steps. He starts to purr while we swing. We'll put the basket down on the floor, he'll hop our, and we'll fold the laundry.

I know we shouldn't let him in the clean laundry. But he enjoys it so much. Especially when the basket is full of warm towels. Then he needs a little nudge to get out from the towels.
