I'm glad for her, them and you!...Question. Did you need to spend lots of energy asking for proof of real ownership? I've never tried to find original owners of a stray pet but sometimes I wonder-- what if I did? Would I be super cautious about proof of real ownership?, etc.
In this case it was a reasonable reason... a family member died and they had neighbors watching the house and thought the cat was in( she was and is a indoor/ outdoor_
