Oh lordy...Ginger was quite intent on getting me up earlier than I was planning to this morning.

First was the bathroom cupboard. Trying and failing (on purpose, I think) to open the cupboard door. She's never done that before, but she's a smart Cookie and has seen Trent try and fail and get kicked out of the bathroom because it's really annoying. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. At least 15 minutes, maybe more. But after a while it became white noise... Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam. Slam.

BAM! Ginger is on my feet in bed playing "blanket monster"! Ferocious little girl!
Until Daddy sits up and snaps at her. That's her cue to run away.

Aaannnnddd go attack Annie.
Not just attack her once, but chase her through the house attacking her and making her SCREAM. Annie is a tough little girl, she doesn't usually scream like that.

THAT got me up in a flash! Run downstairs, squirt bottle in hand to break them up and let Ginger know that is NOT ACCEPTABLE!

As soon as she saw I was up (and she was wet!) she went running into the bathroom with her tail in the air, happy as a clam, for our morning routine.

Sure, cats make detailed plans of what they do. They always know how to get what they want and that included getting you out of bed.

I notice that everything is louder in the night than in the day.

And by the time you were downstairs, I bet you were were wide awake and had no intentions to go back to bed!

I wish we knew where they wrote these plans down. I'd find them and destroy
them!

Cats just love to test your patience!
My Kia loves to go into the bathroom, which she knows she isn't aloud in(she has a new hobby of drinking toilet water
). Anyway, EVERYTIME at dinner, when she knows the whole family can see her, she marches straight into the bathroom.
I say "Keeeeeeee...." she turns her head, looks at me and stands there like she's trying to decide if she should listen, then continues into the bathroom! The nerve of the little squirt!
I always tell her that I would be sooo mad at her if she wasn't so cute...I mean, who could say no to this face?

Holland got me early this morning too... woke me up at 5:30 because she thought it was time to eat. I caved and fed her. Boy, is she in for a rude awakening when she doesn't get her next wet feeding until this evening...

I had to deal with the same thing this morning as well. We actually had a tag team of Imhotep and Nova.
One would meow and scratch at the bedroom door and then the other would try it. We gave up at 8:00AM... That's the extent of our sleeping in.

Oh goodness...no way we could resist if two of them were in cahoots!

Lucky for me, Ginger's last ditch and successful attempt to get me up was at the rime I wanted to get up anyway. Of course she didn't know that.

Ginger was determined

Fortunately, mine are a little more subtle (which means I could ignore them). Though I did know it was time to get up when Much came in and YELLED at me (she is getting very deaf and can't hear herself), followed by Lucy sitting on my head. Carly then screwed it up by sitting on top of me. She hasn't figured out that she is counterproductive by sitting on top of me as I'm not likely to get up soon.

A couple quick anecdotes;

Our Morgan (Morgan Taylor Cat) loves to make sure she knows where everyne is in the morning AND, wake them up...........................once thats done, she curls up somewhere and sleeps.

A buddy at the office has several indoor cats who can be "active" at night. He is more laid back than I am, he says, "Any more, I don't get up, unless I hear glass breaking"

Stinkpot kept coming up to me this morning and doing his little "whine", then lying down next to my head and kneading, kept doing it over and over, and I think he was worried because I actually OVER slept this morning! He was checking up on me to make sure I was still breathing, or maybe giving me CPR with his kneading!!

ReeRee is nothing if not persistent!
He started at about 5:38 this morning meowing for attention. Walking in and out of my room meowing non-stop. Till I got up at 8:15am. He did stop for about 20 minutes in between to just sit and stare at me from the chair in my room. Than started up again.

Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow...
