Mango

Mango was the pretty little marmalade and white tabby boy that lived next door, but hung out in my backyard and ate my catnip. Upon arriving home from work this evening, my neighbor told me that they'd found Mango in the street out in front of their house this morning. He'd been hit by a car.

I loved seeing Mango napping in the flowerbed under my kitchen window or on top of the shelves under our covered patio. He was always so friendly and welcomed us to the neighborhood when we moved in 5 years ago. He was a good mouser, too.

I will miss him and his cute little face patrolling my yard. Play safely over the Bridge, little Mango-boy.

That is so sad to hear about pets being hit by cars. It is so preventable. I'm sorry that Mango was a victim.

RIP Mango....

So sorry about Mango. Yes, that is the saddest thing to see them killed like that.

He is probably at the RB now, in someones catnip. Thanks for telling his story.

RIP sweet Mango. the kitty.

Condolences to all who have lost their treasured friend. The "local cat" is part of what makes a good neighborhood. I hope that he went instantly. Mango is now the local charmer in a better Neighborhood now - can you just imagine him coming up to greet those poor little souls from around the world, victims of housefires, violence of war, car crashes, Crossing the Bridge themselves, being greeted by the ancestors, and, of course, a little marmalade cat from Texas.....
