I know, I know, just please indulge me as I NEED a place to let out my joy
teehee....................Gigi, AKA Gigius Kittius Maximus is clearly the best cat that ever walked. She is friendly and outgoing and unafraid (of most things except she doesn't like other cats!); she will wear a walking jacket and walk on a harness; she rides in the car like a dog and walks through the pet supply store, leading the way. Best: at home.....she is very affectionate, she brings down my blood pressure, she's a great lap sitter, she plays fetch, she loves shiny things, she's FUNNY, she's bold, she does "up" on command and "touch" (high five) on command. She is also an easy keeper. She is not finicky. She eats well and is unspoiled. Gigi saved me emotionally last year when I lost my old Greta kitty, and when I needed lots of laughs and a new focus (due to other things going on in my life at the time). Gigi also happens to be BEAUTIFUL. She is a big boned, big sweet girl. She is a "high white" red and white tabby. She has COPPER eyes and the sweetest, open expression! I love how her ears are rather high set. She LOOKS at me. Not through me or past me. She's brave. She trusts me. I am CRAZY about my Gigi-kitty
She could have been a GREAT show cat. She won 3rd place out of TEN household kitties, including longhairs! It was her FIRST show ever. Most of the other HHP's were experienced and she was the youngest too. Even though she freaked out in later rings (b/c she did not LIKE competing against OTHER cats!), I was so proud of her
GIGI IS BEST IN COUCH at our house. Thanks for letting me shout it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not many places I can do this, haha!

I forgot to say that I LOVE it when she does her mini tiger fierce GROWL while running at wharp-speed through the livingroom over the couch, under the chair, over the bookshelf, onto her perch and off again in the other direction
I also love her even as she wraps her furry and clawy self around my ankle to REMIND me to throw her ratty so she can fetch it! SO cute. And yes, she has ALL her claws, of course
I love my cat!!

Your wonderful tribute to your kitty is the first post I've read at TCS this morning, and my whole being is smiling. I know exactly how you feel.

Thanks for sharing your love for your sweet and wonderful Gigi.

I love this post. It reminds me so much of our Max when he was alive; you have the only other kitty who I have ever heard someone say did the same thing. Max would do his growl then take off at a flying speed through the house. He looked like a racehorse and you better move out of his way because he didn't slow down for anything. When he did this, his run always included jumping in the bathtub. One day I was on my knees at the tub. I had woolite with bubbles in the tub and was washing out by hand stocking, underthings, etc. I heard Max when he growled but I just didn't connect it with his jumping in the tub. But before I knew it, he did, in and out in one bounce. I took off chasing him through the house. Soap bubbles were flying everywhere. It was crazy. I am glad someone else's cat gives them the same laugh.

She definately is one cool cat! Are you sure she is`nt like some experiment in mind swapping between a canine and a feline?

I`m a little biased so I think my cat,Alley,is the best ever but she does`nt do all the neat things your girl does.LOL Oh well, love is unconditional, right?

I`m particularly impressed by the harness walking and sweater wearing. WOW!

Now go snuggle her once for me!

heehee!! She must be. Part of her petfinder description was "good with dogs"...she spent some early weeks in a dog grooming shop (they brainwashed her!) with her littermates and mom. And then I brought her here at 12 weeks to meet my dogs and they accepted her instantly! And she wasn't afraid of them
And so it continued! OH yeah..and when I dish out the dogs' food into their bowls, she jumps up and steals one kibble at a time, as many as she can until I'm done filling bowls. She just cracks me UP
