What is safe, effective, & economical to kill bugs in the backyard and not harm animals? This will be an ongoing issue since I can't control my neighbors junk. DH now has to BBQ in corner and we are trying to think of a solution. Any ideas? Oh we don't want to kill our lawn, flowers or pets.

What specific insect pests are you targeting?? You might want to check out the gardens alive catalog for ideas. We have a firepit that we could out on and also light of fire with and if its smokey it helps with mosquitoes. Any plants advertised are not effective. For wasp and their ilk we use a wasp trap container non toxic (to us) and effective. For house flies we wither use the sticky things that hang or another trap-but the ingredients to add to the house fly trap is very stinky!

Mosquitoes and tiny bugs. I think my side neighbor has an ilk. I know we get a lot of dragonflies during the summer.(I like them)

Thanks! I have a ton of that. I knew there was a simple solution but couldn't remember what it was.
