I'm pretty sure my cat is pregnant, unfortunately we were not aware of this before she went to get her vaccinations. My boyfriend took her in and the vet there felt her stomach and then asked if we have a male cat or if she gets outside. We have a male who has only been neutered for about 2 weeks and both are strictly indoor cats. The vet left her questions there, not mentioning anything about the possibility of my cat being pregnant and vaccinated her. Now I'm worried that if she's pregnant that the vaccines will harm the babies. We're not sure what to do if she is pregnant

I noticed yesterday she has started pinking, so I'm guessing she's around 21 days or so, I couldn't be sure because I didn't know my cats were being ... naughty lol She would have had the vaccines about a week and a half ago now. I called the vet yesterday and was told cats are not like people where you can do a blood or urine test and to just watch her for signs of pregnancy. I'm not sure of the vaccines entirely, the list is at home unfortunately

If my guestimation of 22 days as of today, she would have only been a couple weeks along at best when the vet saw her. An appointment was made at the end of the last one to have her spayed at the end of the month, this was before we suspected the pregnancy.

My boyfriend really had wanted to keep one of the kittens because, as he puts it, it would be the love child of our two cats lol

I don't see any of the breeder people online at the moment, they can probably help you more.

At this point, she is already vaccinated so there is little you can do. I would get her into the vet for confirmation that she is pregnant and discuss your options with the vet. Given the chance of deformities/illness from the vaccine you might want to consider a spay/abortion.

You could always consider spaying/abortion, but that is a personal decision that only you and your boyfriend can make

If she's pinking than she's almost definatly pregnant. I would schedule a vet appt. to make sure everythings alright with the vaccine situation- if something did affect the babies in any way, you'd want to know.
Other than that, just keep a close eye on her, and keep us updated!

We decided to call around to some clinics and animal hospitals to get second opinions ... and third and fourth lol I've had the one hospital tell us that we should let her go through the pregnancy and keep an eye on her health to make sure everything is ok with momma. The worse case scenario would be the kittens being stillborn or having birth defects, or they could be normal healthy kittens. This nurse actually made me feel really good and not all panicy about the situation. We still have to make a decision but this makes me feel better and a bit more well rounded with information to make the best decision for Tank and her kittens
