Allergic but I love em so much!

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!! -looks around slightly nervous- Ya know, I'm usually just a lurker....I don't often introduce myself....
Anyway, my name is Cinder, and I adore animals, mainly cats big and small. I have some allergy problems with them though I feel quite grateful that I don't break out in hives the way my boyfriend does, or have to get monthly allergy shots the way my father does.

I would someday like to volunteer my time at the no-kill cat shelter in my city, but until then, I just enjoy researching as much as I can about all the different cats out there and what makes them all tick.
I love to draw, and my screenname Cinder is also the name of a close character of mine. I own two amazing dogs, but at heart I am a cat person.
Hmm....anything else to say? Oh, I have extremely strong pro-gay marriage feelings. Like, reeeeally strong.
So yeah. Is there anything else I need to include here?

MrBlanche - Thank you for the tip on wiping the cat. I'll have to try it on one of my friends cats. I draw cats every now and then, but what I reeeally enjoy drawing the most are my characters, many of whom are partial animal demons. But not those anthro "furries"(not too fond of them), I identify some of my characters as animal demons, they have feline ears and the tail, claws, but every other physical aspect is humanesque. Behavior on the other hand will vary depending on how much cat is in their blood.
Cinder for example, is half lioness and half bobcat, so her feline behavior is very much a part of her personality. She is very aggressive but often struggles with her need for companionship. Because lions live in a pride and bobcats are very solitary creatures, her need for a pride of her own frustrates her inner bobcat.
Oh, but lets see, at the moment I have 3 cheetahs, 6 tigers, 4 domestic cats, 4 leopards, a serval, 2 bobcats and....get ready for it...... about 30 lions!!! So yeah, for clarification, these are my original characters, not real, so no I do not have all of these big cats roaming my home.

KatrineA - I hope I can get a cat someday too, but I don't want my boyfriend to break out in hives.... and I'm sorry to hear that you are allergic to dogs, I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't have cats OR dogs!! And that's cool that you volunteer at your animal shelter, I really want to do that as well once I get my drivers license. Yeah, almost 20 and I still don't have it...lame, yes?

Oh wow!!!! I was looking at her pictures and just....wow!!! They're so beautiful. It's amazing how the bobcats can start off so small and cute and grow into such regal creatures. I see bobcats around my yard sometimes, and they will even climb onto the roof above my bed and wake me up with their "meows". But to actually get up close and personal with one...how lucky!!

Thank you Pami, I am glad I joined you guys too. This forum is so kind!! It's quite refreshing to be in a forum with almost no trolls! In fact, it's been about a month since I joined up and I've only seen one(I think?) troll the whoooole time! So yeah, great friendly community of feline fans and friends
