1.- ¿Do you know MÃ[emoji]169[/emoji]xico?…as a country or as a city?

I know Mexico as both a country and a city.

2.- ¿Wich part exactly? are you came by business or by vacations?

I lived in San Diego in the 70â€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s and we were very close to the Mexican border. Because of that we visited Tijuana and Ensenada a few times. What I loved about Tijuana was that you could bargain for anything you wanted to purchase. I saved a lot of money shopping there and the food was excellent but we did stay away from drinking the water. Now this is where you get real Mexican food tho it was hot, hot, hot.

There were some very sad things to see there also at that time. Very poor people and children running in the streets looking for candy and gum. Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]m sure things are much better now, I pray it is. It is just something I will never forget. I will never forget seeing some people living in cardboard boxes, when we went back another time, they were gone. Hopefully this meant that had better living quarters.

Ensenada was so beautiful and so was the scenic view riding there, we went one time on my then husbandâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s motor cycle with other couples. It was really breathtaking. I donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t remember much else since it was in the 70â€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s and I just donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t remember everything.

3.- Have you ever hearded about MÃ[emoji]169[/emoji]rida Yucatán MÃ[emoji]169[/emoji]xico????.... Is the place where I´m live!….As you can see in Yucatán is located Chichen Itza (Mayan Ruins) one of the New 7 wonders of the Modern world!...
Here´s the link my friend..(about my city and you can see something too about Chichen….http://www.yucatantoday.com/index.php

No, sorry to say but it is beautiful.

4.- Can you speak spanish?

I cannot speak any language except English but I wish I had learned at least one other language.

5.- Do you have some CD of Spanish music? do you like it?

No I do not.

6.- Have you ever to watched a Mexican Movie? ( I mean with Spanish Dialogs?)

No, I never have.

7.-Do you like the Mexican Food?( do you have any preference for example: burritos, Tacos, rice & beans, etc?)

I love, love Mexican food. My favorite is Enchaladas and of course the beans and rice, love most all the food.

8.-Do you like the Tequila?...or else Mexican Alcoholic beverage?

The only Tequila I have had was in the Margarita and I love them but order it without the salt on the glass. Have never had any other Mexican alcoholic beverage.
9.- Have you ever to sleeped in a hammock?

I donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t think I have but if I did I would probably fall off of it, I am quite the clutz.
10.- Have you ever to saw the traditional mexican clothes?

Maybe I have in photoâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s but nothing in person that I can remember.

11.- Do you to know Cancun Mexico? ( Is a beach)

Oh yes I have heard of Cancun Mexico and anyone who has vacationed there said it was quite beautiful, unfortunately I was never there myself.

I just had a terrible dream last night, I know it woke me up but now I cannot remember it. I do suffer with nightmares at times.

2) What type of home do you have? (House, apartment, duplex, etc.?)

I live in a two bedroom mobile home, I just moved into just about a year ago.

3) White, whole wheat or multigrain bread?

Whole wheat but I do use white when making French Toast. I really don't think whole wheat would make a tasty FT but I never tried it so I'm not really sure

4) Coke or Pepsi?

Diet Pepsi actually.

5) Chocolate or Vanilla?

Chocolate anything including just plain chocolate, light, dark or anything in between

6) Night hawk or morning person?

Never ever was a morning person, that's one of the reasons I love being retired, I get out of bed anytime I feel like it, hated getting up for work as most of us do. Guess I'm a night hawk.

7) Walk or drive?

I drive.

8) Favorite movie of all time?

Gee this is a tough one, I would have to say The Godfather and Ben Hur with my favorite actor Charlton Heston.
9) Favorite alcoholic drink?

I've always enjoyed a Screwdriver and in the summer I love a well made Tom Collins. Not everyone makes them correctly including me but if you get the right bartender, they are a great drink.

10) Do you prefer casual or a more dressy style of clothing?
Since I am retired I am always in casual clothes. I used to like dressing up when going out to dinner but now it seems you look overdressed no matter where you go. All you see in restaurants are people with jeans and sneakers, the only place to get dressed now a days is at wedding.

Thanks for the questions Kailie.

Howdy! Welcome to the Spotlight! Here are a few questions for you. The theme is (mostly) desert island, i.e. suppose you were stranded on one... and don't worry about the technology to support your choices, that will be taken care of...

1. What would be your five Desert Island CDs? They don't need to come from your own collection. Why would you choose these particular ones?

2. You might also want some reading material. What would be your five Desert Island books? Why?

3. What else would you like to have with you to occupy your time and your mind?

4. You'll also need food. If you could have only two or three foods and nothing else, what would you choose? Why?

5. If you could have one human companion, who would that be? Why?

This one is not part of the theme:

6. If you came into a large sum of money -- an unexpected inheritance, a winning, whatever, but "set-you-up-for-life" big -- what would be the first four things you would do?

Back later with more. Have a good week.

1. What would be your five Desert Island CDs? They don't need to come from your own collection. Why would you choose these particular ones?

I have always loved Lionel Ritchie and Michael Jacksonâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s Thriller and Off The Wall, Elton John , Queen and the best of the Eagles

2. You might also want some reading material. What would be your five Desert Island books? Why?

Well my favorite author is James Patterson so I would make sure I had a couple of his books and the reason why is I have read close to 50 of his books and enjoyed all but a few. I love his style of writing keeping the chapters very short which makes his books very fast and easy to read. Jodi Picoult has been a recent favorite of mine. Her books are a lot about real life and she makes you think after reading her books, so far I have read 4 of her books. I like Danielle Steele and have read over 30 of her books. When Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]m in the mood for trash, I read Jackie Collins and read 15 of her books. The reason I know how many of their books I have read is because I keep a spreadsheet in my Excel since I donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t want to read the same book twice. I would also bring a book called ‘How to Survive in the Desertâ€,

3. What else would you like to have with you to occupy your time and your mind?

I would of course take Autumn with me and all her food and toys, donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t know what Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]d find to feed her on a Desert Island.
If I had a small TV that ran on batteries , I would take that . I could keep my mind alert by watching Jeopardy or turning it into mush watching sitcoms and game shows lol. Between music, books, TV, and playing with Autumn, I would be fine.

4. You'll also need food. If you could have only two or three foods and nothing else, what would you choose? Why?

Diet Pepsi, any type of Pasta since pasta sticks to your ribs and makes you feel fuller longer and a load of steaks since beef is my favorite meat.

5. If you could have one human companion, who would that be? Why?

I have been dating a man recently and we get along really great. He makes me laugh so much and I think he would be a good companion on a Desert Island. Right now there isnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t anyone else I could think of wanting to be with except, oh yeah GEORGE CLOONEY!!!

Pay any credit card I had, help my family. Either join a shelter to enlarge it so we could take care of more animals in need or open one myself. One where there is a lot of land so we could take in the farm animals also. I would donate a large amount to the Cancer Society since I am a survivor.
For my personal pleasure I would love to buy a summer home in St. Louis MO and watch my beloved Cardinals play baseball, I would buy seasonâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s tickets and would be in baseball heaven.

1. Who is your favourite Winnie the Poo character?

Is Tigger one of them, I like Tigger.

2. Do you have a favourite gemstone?

I love a deep red Ruby.

3. What is your favourite all time cartoon?

I used to love Popeye.

4. Do you collect anything?

I had collected clowns for many years.

5. What would be your perfect breakfast?

Eggs over light, bacon cooked medium, I hate overcooked bacon or breakfast sausage. Whole wheat toast, large glass of orange juice and of course lots of coffee.

6. Boiled sweets or chocolate?

Not sure what you mean by boiled sweets so I'll say chocolate.

7. Do you have any hobbies?

I do read a lot and surf the net of course.
8. Do you like gardening

No I never did like gardening. I am not a summer person and being out in the heat and humidity is just not my thing. I would much rather stay in a/c.

Thanks for the questions.

1. What's your favorite hobby?...

Reading, I just love to read and really enjoy it. I belong to a library and they get new books all the time. As soon as a new book comes out, they seem to have it pretty quickly so I have been in the habit of putting books on ‘hold’ to get them asap.

2. What's one trait you hate about yourself?....

I hate the fact that I never know how to get anywhere by driving. I could get lost going around the block. Even when given directions, I find a way to get lost. If there is someone in the car with me I am more confident but because of this, I don’t travel very far alone. Even one of those things you put in your car showing you how to get where you’re going would not help me. Years ago a friend said I have to travel within a ten mile radius, lol.

3. Name 3 thoughts at this exact moment:….

I need to polish the furniture today, will I need to turn on the a/c today if it gets too hot and what kind of pasta should I make tonight.
4. What do you read in the bathroom?....

The book I am currently reading or the TV Guide.

5. Current worry right now?....

Trying to get Autumn into the carrier to go to the vet for her physical.

6. Hight heels or low heels are you wearing right now?....

Actually I have on slippers so very low heels

7. Favorite place to be on weekends?....

Hanging out with Russell. We go to the malls, flea markets, out to dinner and then bring a rented movie home or watch a movie On Demand. Maybe have a couple of drinks and just enjoy each other’s company. He has a lot of friends and we hang out with them also at times.

8. Where would you like to go?.....

I have always wanted to go to Australia. I have seen pictures of it and it is so beautiful. I would love to see some Koala bears. I would definitely want to go to Steve Irwin’s (the Crocodile Hunter) Australian Zoo. How ironic he was killed not by a Croc but a stingray in 2006.

9. What´s your Favourite pop soda….

Diet Pepsi without a doubt.

10. What colour shirt or blouse are you wearing right now?....

Green, actually I'm still in my nightshirt

I abhor cooking, I wish I did enjoy it but I just donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t. For me it is just another household chore I have to endure. I am a meat and potato kinda gal and thatâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s fine with me. I hate spending more time in the kitchen than I have too. When I was married I cooked a lot more but living alone, I donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t need to do all that much cooking. My MIL at that time taught me how to make the brown thick gravies that Germans are famous for and they were delish. The quicker I get out of the kitchen, the better, oh I think I said that already, lol.

2. Do you like to cook with someone else? How well do you share your kitchen?

See above.

3. What is your favourite thing to prepare?

Don't like to prepare anything unless it's quick and easy so I can leave the kitchen as quickly as possible

4. What is your favourite dish that someone else prepares for you? Who?

My sister makes a delicious stuffed cabbage, I can never turn it down.

5. Either of those favourites might be a comfort food, or not. What is your favourite comfort food?

Chocolate frosting over a white cake.

6. What is your favourite celebration food?

A meal out at a favorite restaurant with a couple of glasses of a good wine. One of my fav restaurants is The Outback.

7. When people come to my table, I always ask first whether there are any allergies/sensitivities/likes/dislikes I should keep in mind. If you came to my home, what would your answer be?

Just donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t offer me anything with a face on it. I remember when I visited Italy back in the 80â€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s, we all went to a very nice restaurant. I ordered the shrimp but when I got it, the heads were still on the shrimps with these two little black eyes staring at me. I was horrified but thatâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s the way they served the shrimp. Actually I found out that the shrimp heads were reattached after the shrimp was cooked so you could just pop off the head and eat the shrimp. Not very appetizing but the shrimp was delish. So please donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t serve me anything with a face/head on it.

8. Do you consider yourself adventurous where unfamiliar food is concerned?

When living in San Digeo I did try the Frogs Legs and they were quite good and yes they did taste like chicken to me so I will try certain unfamiliar foods. I will not eat Sushi or any raw fish so I guess my answer is that I will try ALMOST anything.

9. What is your favourite meal of the day?
Any meal served to me in a restaurant or diner is my favorite meal since I didnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t have to cook it. Breakfast would be my fav meal of the day eating out.

Hi Again...

Hmmm...not into cooking, eh? OK, I'll leave out the other cooking group, and move to the hodge podge. There are a couple of food questions in it, but I think they're OK...

1. Do you like veggies? What is your favourite?

2. Are your grandparents still alive? Do you know them well?

3. When you have a 'lazy' morning, how late do you sleep in?

4. Do you drive? Do you like to or is it a necessary evil?

5. What is your first language? What others do you know - not necessarily fluently, but enough to be understood?

6. How do you like your eggs cooked?

7. What is your favourite type of movie?

8. When you go to a movie do you stay to read the credits?

9. What behaviour would you ask your cats to explain, if they could speak?

1. Do you like veggies? What is your favourite?

My favorite would be corn on the cob, also like peas & carrots and regular kernel corn. Also love mushrooms.

2. Are your grandparents still alive? Do you know them well?

My grandfathers were dead before I was born. I remember my paternal grandmother only vaguely since she lived a distance from us. I do know she suffered with lots of headaches and would put vinegar on a towel and wrap it around her head, that must’ve been an Italian remedy. My maternal grandmother I remember a lot more since she lived nearby and I visited her a lot with my Mom. I was still a child then but do remember her more.

3. When you have a 'lazy' morning, how late do you sleep in?

LOL, I have a lazy morning every day since I am retired. I sleep anywhere between 10am till 11am unless I have to be somewhere earlier. Mostly tho I get up whenever I feel like it.

4. Do you drive? Do you like to or is it a necessary evil?

Yes I drive. I wouldn’t say I don’t like to drive but it is a pain when sitting in traffic. I try not to have to drive long distances, it’s just way too boring for me. I mostly drive in my area, going shopping, Dr. appointments, hair salon etc. Everything is close by so it works out well for me.

5. What is your first language? What others do you know - not necessarily fluently, but enough to be understood?

English, I only know English and I do not know any other language, all the rest are Greek to me, lol.

6. How do you like your eggs cooked?

I like my eggs cooked medium over cuz I like to dunk my toast in the eggs, and it has to have some type of meat with it, either bacon or breakfast sausages.

7. What is your favourite type of movie?

I like a good romantic drama. Mysteries as well, not much into comedies tho.

8. When you go to a movie do you stay to read the credits?

I don’t go to the movies much at all, if there is someone in the movie I can’t recall, then yes I will wait to read the credits to see who that person is.

9. What behaviour would you ask your cats to explain, if they could speak?

I would ask Autumn why she is still a little afraid of me when I walk towards her, yet she will sit on my lap when I sit down, cuddle and purr. I would also ask Autumn why she runs around like a crazy cat for no reason. I mean this cat runs thru the hallway, her paws barely touch the floor. I would also ask her why one minute she is sweet and nice and the next she wants to bite me. I know over petting might get a bad reaction from a kitty but Autumn is really weird. Her cattitude changes in seconds, not minutes.

1. Right or left-handed?
Right handed, can't do hardly anything at all with my left hand except drive with it.

2. Favorite holiday?
Thanksgiving, I just love all that food, lol.

3.Fondest childhood memory?
Whenever I was home from school from being sick, my Mom would always go out and buy me comic books to keep me busy. My favorite comic book was Little Lulu. I bet not many can remember that one. Mom would buy me the bigger thick one, I remember that so well.

4.Do you work out?
No but I should.

5. Do you have children?
I have an infant buried in San Diego Ca. She was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck twice and coming thru the birth canal she lost oxygen and suffered severe brain damage. Trina Marie lived for 35 hours and I will never forget that loss for the rest of my life. I have the cruicifix on the wall above my bed which was on her tiny coffin.

6. Do you belong to other cat forums?
Yes I do but like this one the most and come here more often than any other.
7.Did you go to college?
No, my parents couldn't afford it and don't know if I would've went anyway. I graduated high school.

8. What makes you really angry?
Getting a busy signal when calling someone. Waiting in a doctor's office forever when I rushed there to make my appt. I dislike waiting on any line.
9. Any tattoos?
No, don't have the nerve or guts.
