Quincy is very much the catnip junkie, you will scratch and nip if you try to take his catnip ball away from him

So since he wasn't giving the ball back, I took photos of him, which he hates

Tongue pics!

The birdie on a string finally died today

Look mum, I'm flossing

and I can roll my tongue

That plushie birdie was delicious

and a normal one to show he is growing into his paws

OOOOHHHH, I LOVE him! Red Boys are my favorite!

Did you make that ball? It's really cute. Looks like the ones I make, I use retired wool hiking socks and Tolly's Home Grown Cat Nip. They don't always come out like balls though, they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes.

Aww I love the last pic of him, he's such an adorable boy

Jake does the same thing with catnip toys, he just licks them
At first I thought the catnip is bad for him if he licks it..
Maybe it's something all kitties do, but since I just have one I wouldn't know..

No, someone makes them for the shelter from the shelter's organic catnip garden. The stuff most be really potent because all of my five go crazy for those toys compared to other catnip ones.

Red is my fave too, especially longer haired ones

I too love red kitties -- especially the long-haired ones. In fact, I've got two of my own: Cassidy and Finnegan!

As for the pics of Quincy...he is just as cute as can be. It's a shame he doesn't like his picture taken as he is quite photogenic. He may not love the camera, but the camera certainly loves him! And, I love the tongue pics! I always try to catch tongue photos, but I can never snap them quick enough. It probably has something to do with my lack of a quality digital camera, but oh well.

And, my kitties have a couple of catnip balls that look similar to the ones you have. They, too, came from one of the local shelters. And, they definitely cause my kitties to react in much the same way. It always cracks me up when the kitties are buzzed
.

Oh, one last thing, more pics please! I love Quincy!

There is just something beautiful about red longhaired cats, they just seem different

Usually I just get photos of him looking POed
but I did get this one of him watching Autumn yesterday

I'm glad I looked back on this thread because I see that you posted an absolutely beautiful picture of Quincy. He really is a stunning kitty...

And, I agree, there is something special about long-haired red cats. I was immediately drawn to Cassidy because of her look and my kitten, Finnegan, is also uniquely beautiful (erm, handsome). Now, his fur is different than Cassidy's as it's shorter, but more plush. His tail, though...wow! And, it's interesting. My aunt and uncle have his sibling and he's also a red boy, but when you put both Finnegan and Rodney together, Finn's the one that catches your eye (and Rodney is a cutie). Long-haired reds are just the best (don't tell my other kitties
)! And, Quincy is no exception!

I have a MC breeder nearby whose reds I am in love with, I used to see them a lot when I was doing booths for the animal shelter, they always have huge plumey tails, even compared to the other MCs

This was one of their babies and not a red but you see the tails

Quincy's tail is acually a little too long for his body and makes him look kinda weird, it doesnt help that he chews the end of it when he gets upset so the fur is always shorter and ratty looking
