When I got out of my pool, I came into my room and my cat was there (obviously ;]) and I bent down to pet it and then it started licking my hair. I thought she was just going to do it once but it kept happening, then after I went swimming I put out my swimming top on a chair and she did this, (this is a video link)

She is very... strange, why does she do this?

My cat Candy has a fetish for bleach, I had to stop using it as I thought it could harm her, I am also interested in finding outwhy they like strong smelling things. x

Strange, my cat also drinks fresh water from my cup. I filled up her bowl with the fresh water and she lapped it all up. Weird.

Tofu has a thing for bleach, too. It's irresistible to him. I don't know why. I just make sure he doesn't have access to bleach because he'd roll himself around and around in it.

Newt has a thing for bleach too. I think it's quite common with cats although I've no idea why. She will roll on the bathroom floor after I've mopped it if I've used a (very weak!) bleach solution.

I wonder why they like it? The smell perhaps?

Here's information about the proper pH and chlorine in your pool: http://www.cdc.gov/healthyswimming/ph_chlorine.htm

...and I found this in the San Diego Reader (re: the cats and chlorine thing) - It's fairly amusing. http://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/1...e-intoxicated/ The long and short of it is that cats "have in their repertoire a 'drool, purr, space-out' cluster and nose-brain connections that allow various strong, volatile scents to stimulate it."

Apparently a lot of cats are stimulated by the smell of chlorine in the same way they are by catnip. If you google the chlorine thing, there are a million posts/questions about it!
