I don't know why I had forgotten this till now. Probably because we don't have any little kids anymore.
The other day, my grandson who I babysit brought home an Easter Basket from school loaded with the fake Easter grass. They have 2 cats and a Golden Retriever who eats anything.
I tried to explain to him how it is dangerous because animals can eat it and it gets wrapped around their insides and causes a lot of trouble...try explaining this to a 5 year old.
Well, he put up a fight, so later, I just tossed it. I think it's like tinsel at Christmas time.
So the moral I guess is, when the kids aren't looking......toss it!
