Alas, poor Finepix...

I never take any of the good cameras on the river with me, and today was a reminder as to why I don't.

FYI...a Finepix J10 point n' shoot will NOT survive a kayak rollover.


Gonna take a look at some of the "waterproof" Olympus models tomorrow.

Bring it home and open it up. Let it dry out, under a reading lamp if you have one handy (to drive out the last of the humidity).

Oh cool, I'll check that one out too. I'm doing what MrBlanche said, and have taken out the battery and card and letting it dry. But even if it manages to survive, it won't be making that trip again.

Better the camera get ruined in a roll over than you.
I hope you find a suitable replacement.

For some crazy reason I had a weird dream this morning and at some point in it I was looking at a shelf of waterproof cameras.
I blame reading this thread last night.
