I'm curious:

How often do you see the doctor? Do you go for annual check ups? Or do you go as needed?

About 4 times a week.
But a high risk pregnancy will do that!

Normally I only see a regular doc when I need it, and my OB annually.

I try not to go very often, I went all of 2009 without going once! That's after being in the hospital 4 times, plus an ER visit in '08.

I recently went again because my shortness of breath/coughing issues I've had most my life were getting a bit worse - 10-20 minute coughing fits nearly daily and having difficulty breathing after moderate exertion. Doc thinks exercised induced asthma?

I'm contemplating on whether I should do anything about the chronic daily headaches.

I was blessed with good health until recently. So, in 20+ years I've gone to the ER twice. I don't like going, but I was really glad to get rid of that pain!!!

Due to my sinus/ear infections and my foot problems, I have been going to the Dr more frequently than I would like

Up until August of 2008, I was of the "only going when needed" group. Then I was diagnosed with breast cancer (my yearly mammogram), and I got to know doctors very well.
Now, it's follow-ups, etc., but those are pretty regular - every 3 months for my oncologist, (only for a couple of years, I think), and mammos every 6 months with follow-up consultations.

I've certainly made up for previously never going to a doctor!

I go to my family doctor about every six months. I keep an eye on my blood pressure, but in order to get my BP prescription refilled, I need to go into the office (I think she just likes to yell at me about my weight....my doctor and I are enmeshed in an ongoing weight feud. She yells, I say "yeah, yeah" and that's that for six months. I am not overweight; she thinks I am, but I swear I'm not.). Once a year, I go in for blood work to have cholesterol, sugar, etc. tested. I also see my GYN once a year without fail.

I go to family physician for everything. If needed, he refers to another dr. I try not to go but yearly. But hey, if you get sick enough, you go more often. I don't like taking meds, so I try to get over stuff first.

I go when needed which seems to be once every couple of months recently, with my blood pressure all out of whack and such.

I go usually every three months, though itt's been a five month period this last time. Thank goodness I don't have to go to the doctors as often or as many doctors now that I'm colon cancer free.
