My poor cat, Frank has always been an outdoor cat and loves the outdoors, He has recenlty been diagnosed with FIV and we have been advised to keep him in, but he is so unhappy, my mum insists the my other cat, Max is still going out and it seems really unfair to have Frank stuck inside watching Max go out and play. He is so desperate to be outside again but its just not safe for him or other cats in the neighbour hood. Do you you have any suggestions to make him happier inside or let him out with him getting into trouble, he wouldn't like a lead at all, he fought his way out of a collar in three days.

Can you build him an outside "run".? All it takes is some 2x4's and a heavy wire grid. For one cat, it doesn't have to be too large.

Try googling outside cat enclosures and you will get lots of ideas from big to small. Just make sure it is secure.

I sure your boy gets to go outside, it will be good for him and you too.

An enclosure would be a great idea! My Boo got used to his harness pretty quickly, and I can't use collars on him because he is a little Houdini with them. If you can get/build an enclosure do it!
Good luck!
