A couple I know has a litter on their hands from a stray that showed up pregnant (and another stray they're feeding may also be expecting a litter). The current kitten count there is 5 and they already have as many indoor cats as their house will comfortably hold. They are not anti-declaw as long as the cat will be indoors afterward (I have stronger opinions about declawing but if there's no other home open to a cat I bite my tongue).

They are in the Lufkin area. I drive to Kilgore often for training and could arrange to check out adopters and drop off a kitten when the time comes.

Let me know if you are interested or know someone who is.

None are spoken for yet. The mom cat has been named Star; I believe the kittens will be left unnamed until they go to their forever homes.

The couple who took Star in is starting on socializing the kittens, so they should be extremely friendly for their own humans. Star herself is cautious, as befits a former stray, until she gets to know the person, but very sweet and cuddly once she decides the person is a friend. She'll be fixed as soon as the kittens are weaned, so these are limited edition babycats!

I forgot to mention that Star left the tails off of two of the kittens (the ones with grey spots on their faces). She can't be blamed, though, as she hasn't got more than an inch of tail herself. Those two will be ideal cats for homes with rocking chairs.

The other three have typical-length tails; they must take after the dad cat.
