This makes three in the 2.5 years we've had him. This was the worst one... 1.5 min long, full convusions, intense drooling, no loss of bladder or bowel control thouhg, thank god. It took a good 10-15min for him to come out of it though and become responsive again. :'(

Each one seems to get worse, actually.... Called the e-vet they said that I could wait to bring him in until the am and see my regular vet. My vet opens at 9... so only what, 3.5hours to go?

I have him locked in my bedroom right now, with hubby and I (where the seziure occured anyway) and with water and litter, while Tonks and Gizmo have the rest of the houes. He does keep going to the water for some nice long drinks, so thats a good thing. ugh.... anyone awake and have any other advice for me?

No real advice, sorry. I'm sure they'll do blood tests to make sure nothing is off and triggering it. I assume there was no change in his eating habits today?

It's going to be a long night for you.
I hope your vet has something to offer in the morning.

I'm sorry to hear about Chestnut.

You might want to consider an MRI at this point. Three seizures in 2 1/2 years is not a lot, obviously, but because of the scarcity makes me think something might be pressing on the brain. (not a vet)

Also...do you keep a written record of these episodes to check for patterns? I recommend it.

We do have a detailed record of the patterns, thanks! The vet said an MRI is pre-mature at this point, but we did do a ton of baseline bloodwork to rule out kidney and liver issues. He seems fine today, thank god. The vet is thinking epilepsy.... but doesn't want to give him medication because they are sooooo infrequent. At this point I just need to watch him and keep a record.

Thanks everyone!

No advice, but plenty of going out to Chestnut and to you. I hope your vet can figure out what's causing the seizures.
