Jake clearly understands what a mirror does. I have a mirror in my room and sometimes he is behind me or in front of me, he looks at me in the eyes through the mirror...
It just blows my mind!! And if he I make a face at him, he turns around
It's the cutest thing ever!!
I know it's not only him, anyone else noticed that with your kitties?

Yeah, Genever will look at me in the mirror too, but not herself too much, not sure why. I guess she isn't vain. Often when I'm in the bathroom brushing my teeth or putting on makeup she'll walk in and I'll look in the mirror at her and she will be looking in the mirror at me.

I don't know if my aunt's kitty notices a human's reflection in the mirror, but he does groom himself while sitting on the bathroom sink, looking in the mirror. Not sure if he is actually using the mirror, but it sure looks that way. And it is pretty humorous, looks like he is getting ready for a big date!

I have a mirrored headboard and Rusty will admire herself in the mirror sometimes. She will jump up and just stare at the mirror.

Salem won't thank me for telling you about one of his most embarrassing moments but this talk of mirrors is just too unmissable an opportunity to spill the beans

It happened the first time Salem and his sister Shadow got to investigate the upstairs bathroom. My dad stuck a mirror on the walls surrounding the bath and supported it with a small wooden frame.

So Salem sniffs around and I can see him thinking the bottom wooden frame is some kind of shelf and what he's seeing in the mirror is some sort of space area. Well before I could stop him...he jumped INTO the mirror and obviously, bounced right off it and hit the floor. Poor fella, got the shock of his young life! It was just the funniest thing I ever saw. after I picked myself up off the floor from laughing I went and cuddled him to be sure he was okay. Talk about learning the hard way, poor thing.
