Fever from being Nervous?

Took my cat to the vet yesterday, and his temperature skyrocketed to 40.3 degrees celcius, which is about 104.54 faranheit. He's eating, pooping, and pee peeing normal. The doctors says being nervous sometimes raises temperature, but this is the highest he has scene.

The doctor couldn't find anything wrong with him either.

My cat gets extremely tense in new environments, I just want to know if this is normal. I was taking him in to get his yearly shots, but because of his temp, the doc wanted me to observe him for a few days.

I don't have anything to measure his temp with, but from holding him at the vet to holding him at home, I can already detect a significant temperature drop.

Thanks.

Yeah, this does happen to some cats... It also seems high to me though... but since your vet was not concerned, I wouldn't be either, unless you notice other symptoms, like lethargy and such.
