No, not extraterrestrial insects. Alien Bees is the brand name for a remote flash and flash triggers (like the flashing umbrellas at photography studios). Mine arrived today, and like any old kid with a new toy, I've been wanting to try them out.
As it turns out, the Jellicles just don't get as excited as I do about new toys, no matter how much daddy spends on them. Treats and bribery get them into the flash zone, but it won't make them look at the camera, won't make them stand still, etc etc etc.
So, I'm posting the one shot I got that was almost ok, and we're taking a break and taking a nap.
