This product is supposed to be safe to spray on cats but it has essential oils. Is it really safe?

Neemaura Naturals Pet Spray Ingredients:

Neem Aura Moisturizing Complex (Aloe Vera, and Neem Leaf, Goldenseal root, Barberry plant, Chamomile leaf, and Thyme Leaf extracts), ethyl alcohol (from grain), vegetable glycerin, coconut soap, neem oil, decyl glucoside (from coconut), behentrimonium methosulfate (from nuts), Orange oil, lemongrass oil, cedarwood oil, rhodium wood oil, citronella oil, myrrh gum extract, lavender oil, citrus aurantium dulcis seed extract,

I'm sure someone else will have more insight as to the dangers of any of the essential oils, but have you smelled Neem before? *gag* Its bad smelling to me as a human with an inferior nose, I'd really think twice about subjecting my poor sensitive kitty's nose to that. :P

Hi, what is it you are trying to treat with this stuff?

It sounds like it would make a nice furniture polish, but I wouldn't put it on my cat. Too many potential allergic reactions and powerful ingredients, including those citrus oils, which I think most cats would hate.

Are you trying to treat a skin condition, or is this stuff supposed to be flea repellant? There's got to be a safer way....

PS: I hope you are going to ask your vet about this before using it!

Neem is normally safe( obviously allergic reaction is possible)

I would not touch this... if you want neem there are many pure neem or neem with water or one oil

I think that is the flea stuff they sell at WM... my mother bought this before and I told her throw it away. She got Advantage instead.

WM flea stuff does not work and can cause health issues. Advantage and Frontline are much safer, even though they cost more. You will see NO fleas for a month....

I looked it up and it doesn't say anything about being a flea treatment

Use NeemAura Naturals Neem Herbal Pet Spray before and after your pet is exposed to irritating elements such as too much heat and allergens and to reduce irritation resulting from insect bites. NeemAura can soothe the effects of irritated skin no matter what the cause. Don't let your pet suffer. This spray can also be used to get a shiny, glossy coat for your pet and a healthy radiance.
As Sharky mentioned, there are products out there with less chance of causing a reaction, if you feel the need to use one.

Oh, not the same stuff...

But I would never ever use something with orange oil, lemongrass oil, or citronella oil on a cat OR dog... They hate the smell. Ever let a cat smell a orange/lemon/ect? They make a 'nasty' face then run away. It would be like us wearing a perfume that smelled like moth balls, lol. There is even a 'humane' bark collar for dogs, when the dog barks it sprays out citronella... the dog stops barking because it hates the smell. I would never use those either...

Could you get something from the vet?
