Oscar has been having diarrhoea on & off for a few weeks now.

He's been to the vet, was dewormed & the diarrhoea stopped for the last 2-3 days. Then yesterday it started again.

The one thing I noticed during those 2-3 days - they were also days he ate my left-over rasin bran!

He was on a food with out wheat in it, we are now trying something that does & that doesn't seem to have helped.

So... add BRAN!?!?! To his diet? Maybe it was the milk?

He's going back to the vet shortly - I plan to discuss this with her. I'm also going to try a probiotic. If that doesn't work we'll start on the fecal tests.

Peaches did have lots of poop problems previously (oscar's mommy) but those have all resolved on their own...

He may be lactose intolerant. My oldest used to get the runs if he had any of my cereal back when I drank milk. Now *I'm* lactose intolerant, so neither of us gets cow's milk on cereal anymore.

I would get the fecal tests done. They will tell you if it's parasites.

Poor lil furbaby, sorry to hear you are having troubles. I understand how stressful that is and am still going through the same thing with my lil poppy seed. After going to the vet and getting everything checked out, I am rearranging his diet.

I noticed that any type of new food and even medications made my baby poop more than 10 plus times a day. I noticed that even the pro-biotics gave him awful diarrhea. The anti-diarrhea medication gave him diarrhea. After finishing all medications from the vet and vitamins I am now switching his diet over.

I am using the Natural Balance pea and duck formula as the shelter had him on Iams chicken. The kind Natural Balance company will send you three free samples if requested in an email from their website (which is awesome!)

I feed him one kibble everyday (on day two-2 kibbles so on and so forth) and this cut down his poo issue to only 6 plus times a day. Eventually, I will switch him to wet (although in the past this gave him wretched diarrhea) and then I will try again the raw diet.

Good luck to both of you and update the post as I will be watching to see what worked out for you as I have yet to solve my own issue with this, thanks!

He was born in september, so very good 7 months
. (Can't believe that already!!)

It was the first time he's been wormed - it was a double dose from the vet (so he's gotten his second dose, I can't remember wormer name).

Its weird the Bran & Milk made him NOT have the runs.

We've changed his food to something WITH wheat in it again - I hope it helps him out :S. When he's sick like this I have to keep him in the dog kennel & it just kills me because he's such a suck!!
(Of course he comes out for exercise, but I can't have him pooping all over the house).

Yes I was expecting some loose stools right after he dewormed but it was more then a week ago.

Either way - all is well with Mr. Cat's tummy. Solved by... (drumroll please) Wiska's Meaty Selects
. GROSS!!

I guess no more fancy all-natural foods for oscar...

We're considering switching all the pets over to a raw diet, but now I don't know.
