She was on her way home after taking her kids to school. On a busy truck route north of Lockport, she suddenly saw a puppy dart onto the busy highway. He missed being hit by inches.

A frantic lady came running into the road after him with a leash. He had escaped from her after leaving the vets office.

Cars and trucks were stopping as this little guy ran back and forth across the road. Some people were going around which put him in more danger. My daughter got out and started helping the poor lady. There was no way he was going to be caught. Suddenly, my daughter realized she had just stopped at the deli and had a pound of sliced turkey in her truck. She ran and got it and just as the dog was on it's way back across the road threw him a slice. This distracted him and he started eating the scraps until she was able to grab him!

The poor owner was so frazzled and almost in tears. "Where did you come from" she asked with tears in her eyes.

Isn't fate funny? She stopped for the meat, and happened to be in the right place at the right time. BTW, the people at the vets were watching out the window......

Fate. Yes. That woman must have been praying. And her prayer was answered.

Your daughter is a true Angel.

God works in mysterious ways.
He sent an angel in the form of your daughter to help that little puppy.

What a wonderful story! I'm so glad your daughter was there, and is one of the truly special souls willing to help an animal. God bless her. I hope this good deed comes back to her fourfold. Thank you for sharing with us.

So... why did no one in the vet's office come out to help? Just askin'?

Your daughter was a hero for doing what she did, a lot of people would do absolutely nothing as the people at the vet's office did. They should have helped instead of just watching what was going on. Glad the puppy liked turkey.

That goodness for your daughter!!!!
I'm wondering about the people at the vet's office too, what was wrong with them that they couldn't help save that puppy's life?

Yea, we were wondering the same thing about the people in the vets office. I guess they might have gotten their white lab coats dirty!

I remember when she was pregnant with her first child. There was a family of wild geese on our road trying to get down to the creek on the other side. Again, she was stopping traffic and we were shooing them across the road while cars waited. And of course Mo was helping one baby that got tangled in a bunch of brush on the steep bank.

But that's Mo. She loves the critters!

Thanks for all the kind words. Yep, she is a good kid!

Your daughter sounds like a keeper and I also think that If I was that lady, I would go to another vet clinic.

Wow, that is truly amazing, she is amongst the very few people in the world that would do that. I am sure everyone on here would and I am glad to find special people. What an angel she is.xx
