How to introduce a new cat to resident

Hello,

Well I have my year old neutered male who has settled in quite nicely. He loves my dog and gets along decently with the bunnies and birds. Well I may have the opportunity to take one of our clinic cats home. She is about 6 years old and has megacolon which is under control thanks to me, and allergies. She is very attached to me and the doctor suggested that I should try to take her home as she may be happier there. I agreed to think about it, but don't want to upset the arrangement that I already have (mostly I don't want Oscar to feel that she is invading in on his territory). She is older so sleeps more and is lazier and pretty laid back. She tolerates other animals but doesn't love them. She will try to avoid our other clinic cat but doesn't confront or start fights. She is ok around dogs and if they really bother her she walks away. My fiance's concern is that Oscar might get mad and start peeing outside the litterbox or doing bad things. He is neutered so I don't that will happen. i have two litterboxes just for him right now, so I can get more if needed. She is declawed as that is how she came to us, and I won't declaw Oscar so he does have the advantage if it came down to it. I think that they will be ok as he gets along great with my dog, but in reality I think he believes hes a dog rather than a cat lol. I guess I am just looking for tips and tricks. I was thinking of bringing Oscar to my work first and let them meet on semi neutral territory, then maybe try her at home on the weekend to see how she does. I love her to bits and would love to take her home and spoil her to bits but I don't want any of my other pets to be offended either.
