I tried the Throwback Pepsi the other night when I ran out of my regular Pepsi. I thought it would taste the same, or at least close. Was I wrong!
I looked it up online and it's been getting rave reviews, so I guess some people like it. It's made with real sugar. I know I must have drank this as a child, but I can't believe this is the drink I fell in love with. All I can figure is that I am now in love with high fructose corn syrup.

That is why I like getting Coke at mexican places. They still put sugar in those. Sugar is healthier for you instead of HFCS.

I love those throwback pepsis!

I really don't like the taste of any soft drink. They are all too sweet, even the diet ones. I wish somebody would come up with one unsweetened. That is how I like my tea.

I plan to try the Mountain Dew. I've heard that the Pepsi in Mexico and Europe is made with real cane sugar. I think some of the problem with the Throwback Pepsi may be that it's made with a mix of cane sugar and beet sugar? I don't know about this beet sugar business.

There are lots of unsweetened naturally flavored sparking waters at whole foods, you should check them out! I've tried some and I was amazed at the great taste, with no artificial flavors or sugars..

I haven't tried pepsi throwback, but in Europe the soft drinks are made of real sugar and the coke there sure tastes different. I don't like the taste of sugary soda anyway, I think it's too sweet too..
I like diet coke because it's the least sweet of them all, I could drink a 12 pack a day of that stuff, but I don't because of the toxic aspartame it contains that is linked to liver damage...Currently I'm just drinking water and coffee.

The majority of the sugar we have is beet sugar, I don't think it's any different than cane sugar. Back in the old days all people had was cane sugar, which is why the central american colonies were so valuable, but really beet sugar has been around for a long time for me not to worry about it lol

I tried a throwback pepsi, and it was not for me!
I drink diet soda normally, so maybe that's the problem, but I did not like it.

We tried both Pepsi Throwback and Mountain Dew Throwback. The Dew was, by far, the better, in our opinion. We didn't like the Pepsi either. And I've been a Pepsi girl for well over 40 years. It's truly not the Pepsi I fell in love with so long ago. The Dew, OTOH, is quite good, although DH finished it, as I normally drink diet Dew now.

I am horribly addicted to all 3! (Pepsi, Mnt Dew, Dr Pepper) but I think they have already stopped stocking them or are about to. Its a limited time thing. They came out a few months back and then they brought them back for a few months at the beginning of the year. I wish they would keep it around! And I plan on going out and buying a few cases this week before they stop stocking!

I drink only Diet Pepsi and any other soda I drink is also the diet brand. I cannot drink regular soda anymore, it's just way too sweet for me. Guess I've been drinking diet soda way too long to go back to regular. So, no I have not tried the Throwback Pepsi.

I also haven't had anything but diet soda for years; the regular is just too sweet for me. A guy I work with tried the throwback Pepsi and didn't like it.

I'm not a fan of Pepsi to begin with (I prefer Dr Pepper) but I tried it and wasn't impressed. It tasted weak...I don't know if that's the right word. It just didn't have the kick that the regular one has. I don't like the Dublin (the real can sugar DP) DP for that reason too.

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
HFCS (the sweetener they use in the current recipe) is addictive, hence why some folks seem to prefer it. The Corn industry has managed to put that junk is everything. It's in hot dogs, for Crissakes!!

I, for one, hate the stuff and absolutely LOVE the Throwback sodas. I have two cases of the Dr. Pepper right now. Way better.

See that's what I thought. IMO, the Throwback Pepsi has a citrus taste that I just don't remember. In any case, there is something quite different about it than the Pepsi I drank when I was growing up.

I don't drink Pepsi (yuck!) and try to stay away from Mt. Dew due to the high caffine (does BAD things to my body!) but I am in
with the Dr. Pepper
. It's amazing, I like 'normal' Dr. Pepper, but the Throwback is 100x's better in my opinion. I wish they stocked it all the time.

I sort of "accidentally" purchased it in, of all places, Cozumel Mexico! This was all that they had (im a pepsi freak). I agree, I know I must have as well had it when I was younger but cant imagine liking it. Im so addicted to soft drinks, pepsi esspecially. If I even try going back to Cokes they are not sweet enough, how HORRIBLE is that!?!?
But I concur, no throwbacks for me again.
