My cat is nine years old and has never had a health problem until these past three months. I took him to the vet at one point when I could afford it, but now I can't afford to take him at all. He was eating fine the last three weeks, no problems. But last night he starting throwing up, he's lethargic, and he hasn't been gaining any weight. He can barely stand up. I don't know what to do or how he got this way. He has been drinking lots of water and I already checked for any obstructions, but his bladder is empty. He is still using the litter box. When I took him to the vet they said he may have a liver disease of some kind. Is there anyone who can help me make him more comfortable?

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

Unfortunately you need to see a vet ASAP. Vomiting, lethargy and such weakness indicates a major problem that a vet needs to diagnose, and it would be irresponsible of us to give you any other advice not being qualified or able to examine him.
Ring around all the vets in the area, explain your situation, and ask about payment plans. The vet you took him to last time may let you bring him in and get checked out and pay the fees in installments.
I'm sorry, but we won't be able to give any more definitive help. Good luck!

He needs to see a vet and soon by the sounds of it, where do you live in Ontario? Are you on any kind of EI or disability benefits etc?
Without knowing what is wrong with him, there is little you can do to make him more comfortable

I am so sorry you are going through this... Many of us are going through the same situation (financially)...
Please, this sounds very very serious... Do not delay vet care to your kitty... You need to get her to the vet NOW. Do you have a job? I see you are in Canada - please apply to Petcard (Canadian version of Carecredit) , approval is immediate, and you can get your baby to the vet today...
I hope you get it...

Please apply for that credit and go to the vets asap. You are your cats advocate. She cannot speak for herself.
This sounds very serious.....go to the vet.

I agree he needs to see a vet otherwise he could die from what you describe.
I would call around and see if any vet would be willing to help since you have money problems.

I know how hard it is when you can't afford to bring your baby in for vet care, but this is definitely an emergency situation
When they are that sick so suddenly then there is definitely something majorly wrong and your kitty needs vet care
