I was just curious. I know that peeing outside of the litterbox is a sign of UTI, but does that mean that the cat ALWAYS pees elsewhere, or is it usually only ocassionally?
I had a cat when I was growing up, that would sometimes pee in the plants, that did not have a UTI. Then had one a few years later that had a severe UTI involving crystalization in his bladder (had to be put to sleep after months of treatment), and he ALWAYS used the litter box, even at times when he was totally blocked, and in extreme pain, he would sit in the box for 15-20 minutes at a time.
So does it just depend on the cat? It seems like if the cat was going to avoid the box because of pain, he would do it all the time.
