My bettas!

Here we go, this is Funnyface, a green marble super delta. The black trim isn't fin rot, he actually has a clear edge.
I love marble bettas, you never know how they'll change.

My only crowntail, Minotaur. Craziest little boy ever, but he is pure love.

Xeuxus (pronounced ZOOKsus). He blows bubblenests higher than Mt. Everest.

Sweet Phineas ... there are no words on how much this little guy means to me.

Richter, so named because he was brought home on the day of the Chilean earthquake.

My tiny dragon boy, Puff! Got him, Funnyface, and Esmeralda for my Bday.

One of my girls, Esmeralda. She was originally going into the sorority tank with the other ladies, but it wasn't possible.

Enjoy! And again, for some reason photobucket was being stupid ... sorry for Puff's big picture.

Oh, they're stunning. I love Funnyface. Decades ago, I tried to find a green betta (in that shade too!
) but could only find blue and red ones. I mated a blue male and a red female but unfortunately I couldn't keep the fry alive.
Thank you for sharing. Very lovely.

You're welcome everyone! once you get one, they're like pringles
!

I also have a tank full of females going strong, I'll get pics soon ... the tank itself is a little bit algae infested
. But as soon as I'm done my school term I'll be upgrading and cleaning like crazy.

Careful! Bettas are dangerously addictive!! I'm not allowed to have them any more...

Wow! What beautiful fish!!!

Their coloring is beautiful. Do you use those 'color enhancer' foods?

I use a mixture of good high quality pellet food, frozen bloodworms, frozen brineshrimp, and sometimes live foods. I like to keep their diet as natural as possible, and variety is the key to a healthy betta

Very cool! I am an admirer of fish, but never have had them on my own. My boss had a betta at work that I would 'babysit' when he would go on vacation.
His fish looked NOWHERE near as healthy and beautiful as yours. I suspect it was kept in toooo small of a space and I knew he only got fed pellets. Makes sense that just like any other living being, that they thrive better on a varied diet.

Awww AJ they're beautiful! I love red veiltails, I saw the cutest little one the other day, but I have no more room. It's too bad you couldn't keep yours. I would never breed mine, just because of the whole 100+ babies thing, and trying to sell them and stuff. But if I could I would breed Funnyface to Esmeralda just to see if I could get some greens. Those two are the flirtiest little fish ever
