She came home on Friday, and is VERY skittish. I think she may have been taken in by someone and kept trapped in their home, for she flinches easily and is SO glad to be back "home."

My poor girl - she was so hungry, and she's stuck to the front of the house like glue since.

I am so relieved to have her back - thank you for all the vibes!!!

Maybe consider microchipping her?????????
Her collar is intact, no signs of her getting it caught on anything.
It has her name and my phone number etched on the back of her rabies tag.

I was more worried that she'd been eaten by a coyote or hit by a car, and I doubt a microchip would have been worth it in either situation. I'll think about it, but it'll have to be put on the list of "things I can't afford until I have a regular job again."

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
Didn't know that. I was just responding to your comment that you thought she might have been trapped in someone's home.

The important thing is she's back !!!! - and she does have a way for you to be contacted if someone finds her - and wants to contact you.

They do have GPS tracking collars, I think they are big and ugly and collars are so easy to lose I would never spend the $$ on them (the cheapest I have seen them is $90 and usually a lot more)

Welcome home, Sissy. Max got out one time. He stayed gone two days and two nights. We searched everywhere, and checked the highway often. Laying in the bed one morning, I heard something at the door. I thought it was hubby because he would get up early and look for Max. When I finally went to the door, there was Max. He was putting his paw under the storm door and shaking it. He looked at me like "What in the world took you so long". He had no idea. I was so happy to see him. Then I wanted to spank him. Bad boy.
