It certainly is a Spring day here, we are going into the 70's today. It's a great day for a cookout so I and a few of Russ' friends will be heading for his home later today. He has a big backyard with a large grill and everyone is bringing something except me
Well actually I am but I didn't make it, my sister made her home made potato salad which is to die for so I am bringing that and I will give her the credit.

Another great reason for Spring is baseball begins early next month

Enjoy your day everyone.

Wow the 70's! It was 66 here one day last week. Today it's very sunny and about 50ish.

Isn't the first cookout of the season a great feeling?
I love the smell of food on the grill that I have missed over the winter....brings back all kinds of memories!

Happy Spring!!

Today is a very hazy/foggy/sunny/hazy/sunny/foggy/etc day, strange actually. We keep hearing the fog horns from the port. And it is cooler than it has been all week but still in the 60s so that's ok. My mom said it's about 70 in PA.

Nothing really planned as of yet for today, BF is finishing a report for work and I vacuumed this morning.. now just playing on the computer. I'd like to get outside soon though.

Sending some Springy vibes to England, Ruthy!

It snowed last night here! (Oklahoma) We still have some snow on the ground and it's very windy. The temperature is above freezing, though, so the roads are good.

Happy Ostara Evreyone!
It's not too Springy here today. It's cold (37) and started out snowy, but all that melted off and the sun has been out most of the day, so not too bad all in all. We have been quite spoiled with very nice weather latley and today is a reminder that Mother Nature is not yet done dishing out the cold.

I love the Equinoxes, I find them so fascinating that everything is equal, light and dark wise, over the entire Earth. A very simplistic explaination of course, but for those who want the full on explaination of what's going on, Wiki has more than enough info. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equinox.
Anyway, I took a long walk earlier this afternoon and meditated on the season ahead, though it was a chilly windy meditation walk that was periodically interrupted with me blowing my nose and adjusting my scarf, lol.
I have a nice meal planned for this evening. Ham, asparagus, twice baked potatoes with spring onions, sour cream and chedder cheese all baked in there, and biscuts. Butter dripping over eveything that is not covered in cheese.
Not a low calorie feast, but Spring comes only once a year! Oh, and deviled eggs, gotta have deviled eggs, no cheese or butter on them though, mayo is low cal, right?
I was going to color the remaining boiled eggs, but kind of lost my momentum on that.
Did anyone try balancing an egg on end today? On this day, and the Autumnal Equinox you can balance a (raw) egg upright. I tried for about 10 minutes and deemed it not to be my impatience but all surfaces in my appartment to be uneven and gave up. I have done it in the past though, some stayed for 2 days before falling over! I may try again later.

It was in the seventies here too. We didn't get out too much, I was in a seminar this morning and Mom and sister got haircuts, but we did enjoy the Spring weather when we ate outside at the restaurant for lunch.
