I have a foster cat that has been with me for quite a while (he's a wonderful kitty, just haven't found the right home yet) and every time I take a picture of him it strikes me how well it turns out. While my other cats close their eyes and give me a face when the camera comes out this boy sits still like he's posing and looks absolutely beautiful. He is a very beautiful and regal cat in general and it really comes through in his pictures. I really think he would make a great cat model. Not only because he's pretty, because everyone thinks their cats are pretty, but because he's so easy to work with.
Is there any legitimate agency or some other organization that I could contact to send them some pics? I've done a Google search but haven't found anything useful.

Thanks

We do have a member on here that has or is involved in doing that. But, if you're in the US are you aware that bissell has a contest for getting your pet's picture on one of the vacuum boxes? (one of the pet hair models) It's worth a shot if he takes great pictures.

ETA: I'm not 100% on this, but I think Nekochan is the member who has a cat or two she wanted to do that with - Roxy, I think?, being the one she talked about in the past.

When we lived in Kansas City, a lady came around to the rescues looking for a large red tabby male. Apparently none of the rescues had one that was exactly like they were looking for. He was to be the new Science Diet kitty. A coworker that worked in rescues knew about my 22 lb red boy, Leo and gave the woman my number. My coworker had met my big sweetlump boy, and thought he would do well. The lady came to my house, and was amazed by him, said she had been searching for 2 years for him. Instead of occupying the new lap like usual, he took off through the house screaming like he was on fire, and ran under my bed. I got him out and he howled like I was killing him, scratched and snapped at me for the only time in his life. This was a sweet cat that was the biggest camera hog I have ever seen, but HATED this woman. I was so embarrassed.
I think it would have been better to let her see pics, but she would have had to meet him eventually. IMHO, research advertising companies and send photos if he is a friendly, mellow cat and give it a try. He could be a star.

Thanks. I'm going to look into it. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there that thinks their pets are the cutest ever and should be a model or actor so I'm sure the competition is tough. But not only is JJ a very pretty boy, he has the most beautiful eyes almost the same color as his coat, but he's so outdoing and easy to work with. I did some modeling as a kid and when it comes to kid models it's not the prettiest kids that gets jobs, it's the ones that are easiest to work with. Ones that will let people mess with them and will follow orders and stand still in front of cameras for hours without making a fuss. I would think it would be about the same with animals. It doesn't matter how pretty a cat is if he's going to be all over the place. I just think JJ would be perfect for the job. Who knows, he may be future star and a great representative of rescued cats!
