Ah, this is a win-win situation. I went out and bought a suet seed box and a seed bell to put in the tree right in front of my condo. I figured it's good for the birdies and makes for wonderful entertainment for the cats!

So far, the chickadees and the titmice have found the food. And the cats are beginning to realize that the birds are coming around a bit more often! Should be fun to see this in about a month.

I am thinking I might get either a finch sock with nyjer seeds or perhaps a small birdhouse style gravity feeder.

ETA - I will have to try to get some pics!

My two heartedly concur with your efforts. They enjoy watching the chickadees, titmice, finches, sparrows, cardinals, blue jays, and (Ari's fave) the mourning doves. And you never know when squirrel will make an appearance!

I wish I could feed the birds! The inside cats are always looking out the window and would love to watch that channel of Cat TV.
With the ferals it's impossible though.

I am looking into buying a DVD for them, maybe they will enjoy watching some birds and outdoor life that way.
