When you sleep do you sleep under a comforter, bedspread, sheets, no sheets?

I hate the big thick comforters. I think they're gorgeous but I just can't handle that heavy feeling on top of me at night. I feel like I'm being smothered. So we have a lightweight bedspread and it works great.

I don't even bother with a bedspread since nobody ever sees my bed. I just use a sheet and a fleece blanket. In the winter, I'll add a second blanket. Promise really likes that because she can get in between the two blankets and snuggle up. She kneads like crazy, so having her between the blankets means she doesn't turn my side into a pincushion.

I use a fiberfilled comforter and no top sheet as I have this amazing talent of separating the two as I sleep.

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
During the really cold weather we have flannel sheets and a thick comforter with a fleece blanket over top. BF has to tolerate the fact that I wake up a rotten witch in the winter from being too hot if I start getting too hot I cant sleep and I wake up miserable especially with 3 cats in bed with us and normally on my side because Im the warmest.
During the summer I switch bed sets and we have a light weight cotton sheet set with a cooler comforter. We dont sleep under the sheets in the summer because again I get too hot and I cant sleep without the comforter it just feels weird without one. It helps tho that we have AC in the bedroom so I crank that bad boy up to high and pass out!!) BF just has to deal with the way I like things because otherwise Im too miserable and I make him miserable right along with me....Misery loves company!

I love big comforters in the winter. They make getting into bed so nice and cozy. So during the winter time we have just our sheet then our big down comforter. Summer time its just the sheet and a lighter comforter.

Comfroter and sheets in the winter and bedspread in the summer, but I put it away when I'm actually sleeping so I only sleep in the sheets in the summer..

I sleep hot, and DH is a chilly willy, so it can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. However, it never gets really cold here, so we manage. In the summer, we use just a sheet, which I often toss aside. In the winter, we add a light cotton thermal blanket to that, and have another blanket available for chilly willy, and when I overheat, I just stick my toes out in the breeze.

Summer - just regular sheets. The comforter is on the bed, but we take it off at night.

Winter - flannel sheets, electric blanket (on High most of the time), and very thick comforter. I really mind the cold and we keep our house quite cool during the colder months.

I need to be covered by a sheet, even in the summer. I don't even like my feet sticking out from the sheet.

Normally just sheets and a comforter. In the winter I'll add a light blanket.
I've been lazy though and washed my sheets and never remade my bed, so just the comforter.

At least sheets and comforter. In the colder months there is a blanket in there somewhere too. I have to be warm when I go to bed, which means even in the winter I usually have the AC on at night so I don't smother under the covers.

I just sleep with a blanket. If its cold, I will add another blanket. My hubby sleeps with just sheets and very rarely he will use a blanket. We don't share blankets because I get really cold and he is usually warm.

That's us also. But I will add that sometimes I'll use whatever remnants of sheets or blankets that my cats allow me to use. It's usually a wrestling match with the cats for covers around here.

Sheets always and a light duvet. We had a nice down one, but it's too heavy and hot for our apartment, which is very warm most of the time.

Always sheets. I think it would be kind of gross not to use them.. Dust mites in the mattress anyone?

Sheets, blanket, and a very light weight comforter. Year round. In the winter I'll add a small electric blanket to my side of the bed.

We do have, and use, AC in the summer so the house stays close to the same temp year round.

I sleep under flannel sheets and a comforter and it is one of those heavy ones in the winter but I do keep lifting it off me during the night cuz I get too warm. I can't seem to find a lightweight one I like. The past couple of nights tho, it was so warm I pulled the comforter down to the chest at the end of my bed. I had one window open all night, it was really warm. I think we hit 70 or more today and hopefully tonight will get a lot cooler. I am one of those who is always warm even in the dead of winter. In the warmer months I just have cotton sheets on the bed and usually kick them off during the night too. I do have the a/c going during the summer, I couldn't live without that and would never live anywhere if I didn't have it and it's central air so all the rooms stay really nice and cool or cold. I dislike being hot, just don't like that feeling.
