Does the kitten seem to be active and doing okay? How old is he/she and what have you been feeding for him? I think worms could cause some fur loss, have you dewormed the kitten yet?

I would take the kitten to the vet to find out what's wrong. We cannot diagnose anything, unfortuantely, via the internet. It's possible s/he could have a skin fungus, which left untreated will only get worse.

Cows milk can upset cats tummies, so I wouldn't give him anymore of it. Canned fish is best if you only give it as a treat ever once in a while, cat food is all they really need.

You have to take the kitty to a vet to have him dewormed. I don't know about the hair falling out, never heard of worms doing it. I would take him to a vet because it could be ring-worm which you could catch from him. It's time for him to be neutered too, tom cats spray and can turn agressive.

Welcome to TCS, and thanks for taking in the little sweetheart.

Lots of things can cause loss of fur - flea allergy is a common one, or ringworm or lack of some nutrient. I agree to feed him only cat food and no milk - he does not need it at 3-4 months and it can upset his stomach. And only a vet can tell you exactly what is the problem and give you a remedy.

Definitely get the little guy along to a vet - they can diagnose the skin problem, and give you advice on the best diet for your kitty, and talk to you about a vaccination schedule, and when to spay/neuter the kitty.

There's a Fur Pics forum, where you can share cute pictures of your little kitty, and behaviour and nutrition forums if you need any help with those aspects of owning a kitty.

Good luck and thanks for taking in this kitty!

Hello and welcome to TCS! How good of you to take the little baby in.

What is the kitten's name? yes, you do need to get the kitten in to see a vet. The fur loss could also be from fleas, ringworm, other skin disorder, too many things for us to even guess at.

Your kitten will need his or her vaccinations, and to be spayed or neutered when s/he is healthy enough to withstand it.

And has been said, s/he needs kitten or cat food, not people food.

Please stick around and tell us how things go.
