So this morning my new cat, a 6 month old calico female who has no name yet, climbed on to the bed and started to purr looking for a place to rest. Under the cover of a light blanket my two and a half year old Loony, a BIG orange male, was catching some shut-eye and only a big lump on the bed was visible.

So the little beautiful calico, purring loudly, cuddled next to Loony...
And then one loud and firm growl was heard from under the blanket;
a very clear "Shut up, I'm trying to sleep!" in feline language.

The young calico immediately stooped purring, moved away a few inches with a clearly worried face and with her feelings hurt.
She then silently cuddled herself.

Well...
It looks like Loony finally accepted little Cali. Theses pics were taken in the exact same spot where what I described above happened!

Awww! Glad the story had a happy ending. I see that you also named your little girl, too. I have a Callie, but she's a tortie.

Yep! too bad the name "Cali" is a... mmm... "no brainer"

Anyway many times the first name never sticks.

Sorry for the big pics.
