Rielle Hunter gave her first interview with the press. If you don't know or don't remember, she was the mistress of John Edwards during his last Presidential Campaign, and the mother of his out-of-wedlock daughter. Oh yeah, and all of this was going on while his wife Elizabeth found out that her cancer came back.
Anyway she gave her first interview with, of all places, GQ magazine. Her only caveat was that her words be hers and not twisted as pieces of the story. So that's what it is - it reads like a conversation. It is 10 pages, though.

I have to say in advance that I am not and was not a fan or supporter of John Edwards. Can't say that I really cared much when the story was broken by the National Enquirer, or confirmed by various other real news sources, or when John Edwards finally came out and admitted that Rielle's baby is his. I was more on Elizabeth's side simply because my mother also had breast cancer so I could relate to her a little bit. That illusion was washed aside when her book came out - she has some power issues.
But I did read the whole thing. It kind of felt like a car wreck that you just have to keep looking at.
I have no vested interest in the story otherwise, but I came back 3 days running to finish reading it between work. To me she has the mentality with him of a 16 year old when it comes to "Johnny."
Oh yes, and then there was this: Rielle Hunter told Barbara Walters her GQ photos are 'repulsive'
She was there, she wore the clothes (or lack thereof), she posed and she has to (or should) know what kind a magazine GQ is to do the exclusive interview with them. But after they are published they are "repulsive"? Come on! This woman is something like 43 or 44 years old!
Frankly I thought she looked much prettier in these pictures (her face) than any other photo I've seen of her.
