Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Here's today's question of the day!

Did you attend your high school prom? Do you have a picture?

My senior prom was in May of 1977.

Yeah, I had the Farrah Fawcett hair going on!

Aha!! Here is the one and only prom picture I have left from that day!! Me and my mom!!!

I went senior year with my best male friend. I think I had to ask him, I can't remember. No digital pictures though.

OMG!!! Let's go down memory lane
My prom was in May of 77 also~~yes, Farrah hair going on here as well. The boy asked me and I said NO WAY so he called my mom and they double teamed me into going!! Took a change of clothes for the after-prom, lost my dress, threw up in the pool and didn't get home until 5 a.m. Boy those were the good old days

I didn't go to my final year's dance, but I did go to others. I do have photos of those but there's no way you could pay me enough to post them!!

I went to my prom but I have no idea where the pictures are. I'd be totally unrecognizable now though.
I was 165 pounds heavier then and a total goth chick!

No. I went to a regular high school for only 2.5 years, then transferred to an alternative h.s. - The alternative h.s. had no prom, which was fine by me. When you graduated, you just got a diploma and that was it. The school focused on work-study -- In other words, instead of classes, the kids go to jobs/companies and are given exams on what the companies do and how they do it.

I did go, with a guy I'd been dating for about a month. I asked him, then felt terrible because he had to spend so much money for flowers and a tux. I made my dress (yeah, you read right) so I saved a ton of cash. Believe it or not, that dress is still hanging in my spare room's closet.
I do have pics, but nothing digital, as I don't think there was such a thing back in the dark ages of 1974. No Farrah-hair yet, either--- it was long, straight, and parted down the middle.
I went to an all girl Catholic high school; our 'after-party' was a middle of the night showing of the movie "Godspell", then a sunrise Mass and breakfast after that.

We didn't have a Prom - they are not popular in the UK

We did organise one ourselves when we graduated from 6th form college, but we only invited the people we liked so not quite a Prom either

I went. I broke up with my girlfriend a couple of months before the prom, so I ended up taking basically a blind date to the prom. The dance itself wasn't very memorable. Afterward, I ended up wrecking my dad's car and the girl I took hit on one of my friends. No pictures exist as far as I know. If they did, I would probably burn them.

I went to my prom with my boyfriend, who is now my husband. It was boring and the dinner was gross so we ended up leaving around like 9.

Here is a picture at my parents house before the prom.

This is one of the few that were taken at the prom.

I went to both the Junior Prom and the Senior Prom with the same guy. I wore yellow for Junior Prom and Pink for Sr. Prom. I do have a picture somewhere, if I find it I will post it. After the Sr. Prom we went to a nightclub in New York with a few other couples. I didn't get home till early morning, something I will always remember, hey it only comes once in a lifetime.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all our Irish friends and whoever else celebrates it. Cheers.

We had a junior and senior prom and I went both years. My junior year I was on the "homecoming court" so there was a pic in the yearbook but I don't have that anymore.

I sewed my dress my senior year but nobody took pictures; I remember my mother made a nasty comment about my dress as I was leaving the house but I got nice comments on it at the prom.

Ok I found my Sr. Prom pics but they are really blurry, tried fixing them but no luck, I am posting two of the same pic, don't really think one is better than the other. These were taken in 1962, at least you can see the dress I was wearing.

I didn't go. One of my friends graduated the year before and the other didn't go, either. The two friends (sort of friends, anyways) that did go didn't want to, but because of their parents standing in the community were forced to go for appearances sake.

Another reason, my bf (now DH) is older. They wouldn't have allowed that. And I couldn't stand my classmates anyways.

It was in 1962. We were married for 15 years. I was a sophomore. He was a senior. I don't know how to attach the picture.

We had a Prom, but I never went to it and glad I didn't. I heard the next day that is wasn't really a success and trouble was created during the evening.
