The humane society moved WAY WAY up to North Wichita. It's about an hour away from me now, and they are the only ones that are affordable to me that have the equiptment to spay and neuter ferals. There is a low cost spay and neuter clinic much closer, but they said they can't do ferals. I've fallen behind on getting them done, because the ones that are left are much harder to catch. It has to be done though, because I now have for females that are unspayed. The drive isn't that much of a problem, except I'd have to make it twice in one day, and my car just isn't reliable at all. I'm gonna do some more checking, see if maybe some other vet can help me.

Aww hun, that's not good news at all.
Hopefully you'll be able to find other solutions. Are there any rescue groups you can contact that might be able to make the commute? Do you have any friends who might be able to assist?

I actually have a lot of luck with getting my own vet to do them, when asked.

Many times the techs or receptionists say no because they don't want to have to deal with a feral but if you ask the vet they say yes because they are sedated by the time the vets get them and they are not dealing with worried parents as much.
