My cat that needs to gain or remain at his current weight is doing the opposite and my cat that needs to do lose weight is also doing the opposite. Nuts has lost 0.2 lbs(he's 9.8 lbs) and Attitude has gained 0.1 lbs(she's 10.6 lbs.) Yeah, I know not much but still annoying. Nuts still won't eat all the food I give him and as expected I have little trouble getting Attitude to consume hers. I tried to feed Nuts again tonight as an extra feed to get him to consume more and had to put a few kibbles into Attitude's bowl(less than 20- 30 pieces of which 5-10 were already there) since she wanted her bowl as well.

So frustrating. I'll weight them again next week and I hope I get Nuts gaining and Attitude losing. Nuts needs to be at least 10 lbs and Attitude needs to get down to 9-10 lbs. Figures they would do the exact opposite of what they need to do. Frustrating cats, and I do separate them Attitude eats in the living room and Nuts the bathroom otherwise Attitude would have no problem eating some of Nuts' leftovers. Not to mention they bowl swap so often I wouldn't even begin to know how much each consumed.

Just like people, small fluctuations in weight are normal in a cat, it could just be their pooping schedule for such a small weight, the amount of water they had drunk etc. I wouldn't start to worry too much.

Can you give Nuts treats of a high calorie wet or dry food while Attitude is elsewhere?
