I switched my cats off of NB duck & green pea due to not finding it very cost effective and I always found wet poo in the box that was the same color as the dry food. NB was costing me nearly $50 for a bit over a month of 20lbs of dry. The cats are now on Chicken Soup adult (about $60 for about 1.5 months for 36lbs), but the salon I am training at has some food for sale/display and wondered if it was a good food (will cost $52 for 40lbs and will last a tad over 1.5 months). The kitties do get wet 2x a day, too.

The above is one meat to 1.5 grains which is a touch grainier than I like but still solid

I have fed Kirkland with good results with wet and raw ...

So is the Nature's Select good food? Sorry, I'm just confused by the colored text.

Maybe I can mix Kirkland with the Nature's Select (if it is a good food).

I like TOTW if you can get it. $24 for 15lbs of food and for me that one bag last a little over a month for 3 cats who are free fed. They will send you samples if you email them.

Thanks, Sharky...I think I will try a bag of the Nature's Select and see how it goes
.

3CatsN1Dog...I won't feed TOTW ever again because it made my cats pretty sick last year.

Really? What happened? I am concerned about this b/c while six of my boys seem to be doing well on TOTW, one cat is having intermittent watery stools and -- no pun intended - I am trying to get to the bottom of the problem.

That sucks I know how bad the runny poo issue can be. I have to use TOTW to fix that in 2 of my cats but I still have to mix a lesser quality food for Fatman because he ended up getting his UTI off just TOTW alone so I do about a 3/4 TOTW 1/4 Purina Indoor all mixed in a giant tupperware tub. So far that has worked to keep 2 runny poo free and Fatman pee issue free. Have you tried adding Bene-Bac to their food. That is the reason I went to TOTW because it has the same things in the food as Bene-Bac does.

Yeah, they get Benebac every day. Maybe it's too much?
The problem is that they are free-fed the dry, so there is no way for me to control which dry Tex eats. I think I am going to eliminate everything ELSE from his diet, including the dentrifices I have been using, and put him on a simple program. Just plain chicken or turkey/rice wet and the TOTW. No treats, nothing else and see if that gets his colon back to a happy place. I am NOT sure it's the TOTW.

Mine had diarrhea issues with Chicken Soup and barfing issues with TOTW. I was bummed because my picky guy actually liked TOTW & Chicken Soup.

I'd choose chicken soup. Is this all that's available to you though? Like others have mentioned TOTW is a good one.

If my math is right Kirkland ( which is solid and cheap) is 50 lbs for 34 $

Which is nearly half off what you are paying...

Would you get a discount on the Chicken soup( which is made by the same manufactur as kirkland)

I'm feeding a mixture of the Nature's Select & Chicken Soup and am seeing much firmer poops in the litter box. Apparently Nature's Select has had a lot of clients who's cats had runny poo before eating their food.
