I don't know if I ever posted these, they are not in my flickr account so I don't think so.

After I adopted Autumn, I had posted a happy tail story about her on the shelter's facebook and her caretaker/finder contacted me to tell me some more about her history. She also sent me some photos of Autumn with her kittens not long before she was caught and brought to the shelter

Fat little belly

and later with the kittens

I would prefer she never had kittens, she had a lot of litters
But the pics are extemely cute and I love the one of her looking at her kitten through the branches

I hear what you are saying. Fiona had at least three litters that they know about under two years of age. They were able to catch one of the litters but there was one they never caught sight of. She is sooo tiny. I cannot imagine her having to fend for herself and her babies. I can completely understand why she is high strung and can be edgy sometimes. I'm glad they caught her when they did so she has no more babies. I can't imagine her being able to birth successfully too many more times.

Autumn is adorable with her little ones though. All her kittens were adopted??

Unfortunately we can't always choose the lives of the cats who hold our hearts, at least not before they came into our lives. Fortunately for her, she was caught and she and (at least) this litter of kittens won't perpetuate the cycle. They are all in loving, wonderful homes now.

But boy her kittens sure were adorable!
That picture of her looking at her kit through the branches is just gorgeous. Looks like she's giving that baby a scolding, though.

She probably is, she rules Quincy with an iron fist, always telling him off for something
- he doesnt quite 'get' discipline though and jumps on her and runs way

OMG, they are perfect, just perfect! How beautiful!

Our Whisper had three litters of kittens that we know of before we were able to catnap her. And when we finally got her into our house, turns out she was pregnant again, poor little girl. She gave birth to five kittens in a clothesbasket in our bedroom; two of the kittens are left, although they're not kittens anymore, but are 14 year old cats (that's our BooBoo and Ms. Pepe). And what fun we had helping her raise five little ones! Being grandparents to little babies gave us more entertainment then the most popular tv show! We loved caring for those kids.

As soon as her kids were done nursing, Whisper got spayed. Whisper is now probably around 16 or 17 years old; we're not really sure. But I can tell you that she's a much happier girl since she can concentrate on eating, playing and sleeping now and not have to deal with raising little ones all the time!
