Our shelter lost a sweet old cat last week. His name was Farley & from the moment I saw him I knew there was something physically wrong with him. A trip to the vet in early December found nothing. So I put my worries aside. Then last Wednesday I recieved a call that Farley was having trouble breathing. We rushed him to our vet who told us he needed more help than they could give him that late in the day. So he spent the night at the ER vet. His breathing was eased, but his kidneys failed. They tried to bring his kidneys back, but his heart just couldn't handel the hydration. The ER vet told me that it was hopeless. So myself & 2 other volunteers went to be with him as he made his trip over the bridge.
Farley I am sorry we could not do more for you. I take peace in knowing you are out of pain. Play happily over the bridge with Alli & Samson, no fighting! Know you were loved & will be missed.
