Its going to be another very mild and sunny day here. It was nice all week and then yesterday we had one day of rain, and now the sun will be back!

I am going to the doctor today to get my bloodwork for pre-pregnancy back, I am hoping nothing is amiss

Off to fitness class after work too.

"Pre-pregnancy?" Does that mean that Trout will one day soon have a baby sister or brother?

Today at work is the day I get to pick my holidays! I came to this job with a whole lot of seniority from my other job. I am #10 to pick. I'm not going to be popular where holidays are concerned. Actually, it's been the talk of the clinics since I started. Because it bumps everyone else below me down by 1, and it's super hard to get good vacation days when you are only allowed to have 2 nurses away at the same time.

I'm entitled to a total of 5 weeks. This year because of when I started, I get 2 weeks of them paid, but I can take the other 3 unpaid, which is what I plan to do.

A few girls had been trying to tell me that I can only pick 2 weeks now, and when everyone else has picked their's that I can go back and pick the other 3 unpaid ones.

I told them no, that's not how it works.

I was in the same situation a year ago when I got back to work, plus I was on the union at the other place and am well versed with the union rules where vacation is concerned.

With those above me getting 5 weeks vacation, I still probably won't get any time off in the summer, or if I do, it won't be July or August.

I go to the chiro after work again today. Such an inconvenience. I went to a new massage therapist on Friday and my back pain is drastically decreased. Just a little bit of sciatic nerve pain left, nothing like the last 2 weeks.

I could never pick my vacation days at the beginning of the year, I just use them as I need them through the year, giving my boss as much notice as I can. I dont have the kind of job where someone has to be there though so its not a huge deal

Its a dreadfully rainy day here in central pa. However the rain cannot kill my happy mood. Ive got yarn on the way to my house to make a snuggle bug blankie for a special kitty which has me super excited and the creative juices going since I get to design it myself!!! And big bonus of the day my food money is on my card so I get to go grocery shopping.....Ive got a bunch of recipes to try out and I cant wait to test them out!!! Apple crisp is def on the menu for tonight!! Yummyyyyy

Good morning and Happy Monday!

Today is a dreary and rainy day. The good news is that after today, the week will be sunny and gorgeous with temps in the 60s. Life will be good!

I'm going down to the vet tonight to spend some time with Mollipop. April 1 is when we can bring her home and it seems so far away. I'm trying to spend as much time with her as I can to make her transition a little easier. We're lucky that our vet allows me to visit. I just go in and they bring her out to me. And we just sit there and cuddle for 30 minutes or so. Then I go home. They've started to call her Mollipop, too, so she's well on the road to learning her name.

For vacation days, I'm lucky. I just tell my director when I'd like to have off work and it's done. As long as I put in a day or two ahead of time, I'm good to go. Our dept only has five people, though, so it's not like everybody wants off at the same time. I never take more than two or three days at one time. For the most part, it's OK because I get all the holidays off work, plus some personal days. It works out.

Beautiful day here, we're going to be int he double digits here temp wise (celcius) and I LOVE it!

I'm starting to feel a little better now, recovering from the cold, but now Dana has it, poor guy. So now I have to take care of him.

Sunny Monday here, high of 78 forcasted today, and supposed to be like this all week!!

I may just have to spend an afternoon on the beach with a book!

A certain special kitty is excited about her soon-to-be-made custom-designed blanket too!!

Well I am off to the grocery store, and then more college app work, and laundry, and I've gotta spend some time outside in this great weather.
