A family member just called me urgently to the kitchen... I came in and they explained that they had been about to put a bunch of knives in the utensil drawer. They pointed to the drawer, I looked in and saw Harley's face!

It turns out she had crawled up from the pots and pans cabinet which is under the utensil drawers, and climbed in from the back of the drawer! The cats like to climb in with the pots and pans* if people leave the cabinet door open, but I didn't realize they could get into the drawers above from there! I keep reminding everyone to close the cabinet doors but they always forget.
Of course Harlequin being so tiny is probably the only one who could squeeze herself into the small utensil drawers. I'm going to have to find another place to store the knives now that I know they can get into those drawers.
It was just so surprising to look in a little drawer and see a cat looking out!

*we always wash them out before using them!

At least you'll be careful from now on when you put the utensils away!! Now I'm just waiting for Holland to show up in one of my kitchen drawers, since she recently figured out how to get into the cabinets...

W/ the best cats
Cats can get into anything.
If Harley could talk, I bet she would ask them to close the drawer, the light was interrupting her nap.

I have a couple of houdinis as well actually. We need to get child proof locks for all of our cubbards! Elliott even knows how to open the drawers of my craft table.
