I was playing Imogen's favorite game of chase-the-balled-up-Netflix-paper-around-the-couch and kitty had followed the toy all the way up to the top of one of the arms. Now, I have a large, sectional L-shaped couch, so it's pretty big. I threw the paper for her to jump after it; it landed on the other side of the L. She's never jumped that far before, always preferring to chase her pray in a series of smaller jumps, but I guess this time she figured she was pretty much awesome sauce and just decided to go for it. Needless to say, her front paws missed the couch. By about two millimeters. She landed face-first into the front of the cushion. Hard.

(She's just fine, btw. Wish I had a video of it, though.)

Awwww. She fell on a cushion, good deal! (still silly though, lol)
I had a ferret, Rocko, who jumped, for no reason I could see, from the couch into a blank wall, at least a 3 foot jump, into a white wall. Nothing there, just jumped. He was not harmed, hit his noggin, but was OK.

Awww! The other day, I was playing with Sophie's wand - it has a furry tail attached to it.

I'm whacking the thing around and she's darting after it, and suddenly the timing between my hand movements, the tail and her face managed to meet squarely together!! She got whaaaacked hard in the face - poor thing! Her eyes grew big, and she froze and started to back up slowly. Her expression said - "What on earth did that thing just DO to me!?"

Immediately I'm like all over her, apologizing profusely, checking her out.. lol But the good thing was she associated the bad event with the tail and not with me - *phew*... so I thought - great! I just spoiled the fun of her fave toy. We'll never play with that again!

The next day, she was dragging it around the house again. Mummy, lets play!

Tico, I've accidentally hit Holland with the wand toys too... I think it takes us 100x longer to get over it than it does them...

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
LMAO this is funny reading this reminded me of earlier BF and I talking about cats always landing on their feet. Sure enough Hercules fell off the book stand in front of the window right on his butt. Got up shook himself off and I swear he BLUSHED! The look in his eyes was pure embarassment. Of course I had to pick him up and baby him a little and call him a klutzy goofball. And back up to the bookshelf he went!!

I don't know what Attitude was thinking but yesterday she tried to jump on the second level of the TV stand and she went SPLAT! into it. I don't think she has ever fit there even when she was 'little.'

She shook it off and did the "I meant to do that" look.

I love that look.
I have always thought Holland was pretty clumsy for a cat, and I have seen her fall off my dining room table more than once. She always gets up, looks around, and starts grooming herself like she planned the whole thing.
